Destructis
Haha, I hope you can still make some games this year, Art. All the TV technology in the world still won't let you hear the band play in its entirety or smell those grills in the parking lot. But he can go take a leak in the time it takes to run a commercial. Can you do that at the stadium?
RFK Lives
I am planning on purchasing a new TV on Super Bowl weekend... been debating on if I should try a projector or Plasma.. I want at least 65". Been seeing some gorgeous LCD Sharp Quattron sets though.Only thing with a projector is the added cost of the screen and installation, unless you have some good skills to install it yourself, that is if you go with a retractable versus a static one on the wall. pennyizer
Plasma crushes LCD/LED and it's not even close. If you use the 100,000 hour bulb....then you've had a good 11 years out of a TV....in 11 years they will be making TV's that "service" you...jus sayin

Die Hard
Seriously, Die Hard. Technology is an amazing thing. I view my porn straight off the net. Maybe it's time you change in your Video Tape player, huh? I understand technology is an amazing thing. And I'd imagine you have satellite to get the NFL Sunday Ticket to watch those Redskins games you take so seriously. And I'd wager that DirecTV -- or whatever satellite company -- also offers porno channels too. That's the connection dude. Assuming I'm watching my porn on a video tape player??! Seriously dude, you're losing it.

kubstix
This. Plasma always burns out quick. You would have been better off getting a 58" LCD over a 65' Plasma. Oh well, glad to see that the passion is there for this season. This is so wrong. Plasma's have the same lifespan as an LCD. And a Plasma's picture quality absolutely CRUSHES an LCD. Great purchase, you won't be disappointed.
The Rook
OK Art, fess up ... It is a fact that age at 40 the eyesight starts "slipping". It is not about seeing better - it is about seeing it at all. :helmet:The Rook

Taylor 36
Great TV. I got the 42" version for my bedroom this past February. It is great, though I suggest using a wired connection if you can for the VIERA cast. I had some issues with the wireless connection. Enjoy it, Art. MumboSauce
I find the blacks to be a little too inky on plasmas...the colors in general are oversaturated imo. but it's a matter of preference...most lcd's best blacks are dark gray and any darker you get crush. Enjoy..hopefully there is something to cheer about this season and it isn't too painful. Pioneer Kuro's were the best.
