  1. I like and root for Ron Rivera the person but as a coach? Geez Louise! Really? There is a trait that some great head coaches have in spades and it is humility. Gibbs for one. Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it and doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of idiocy. Actually enjoying this offseason and counting down to training camp. It's refreshing.
  2. I love Riggo and I guess given the NFL no longer restricts the numbers by position and the fact the NFL rarely utilizes a fullback, you could retire 44 and 81. Honestly, I feel like those are the only numbers worth considering. They are already in the ring. we have to remember what retiring means, nobody will wear that number again, you need at least 69 numbers, although only 48 active on game day, 53 on roster, 16 on practice squad. So, even with Riggo and Monk, you got 92 numbers left to choose from.
  3. This was so well done. Now mind you, everything decent to us is foreign and new since the previous regime jaded us into oblivion but the video, the strategy and everything, it had more to it than the pathetic rebranding effort by those who's name will no longer be spoken. And I love Riggo, Monk and Joey T. but I feel like this is the one you retire to represent the longevity, decency and level of excellence of Green and that era.
  4. Spot on Conn but now the group is stuck in an awkward position. Leave the current abomination up. Take the current abomination down - which will come with a lot of backlash. Rectify the situation with the a more apropos statue or tribute to replace it. Does not have to be along the same lines as Kobe but that mannequin thing has to be fixed.
  5. The fact moves are being made and not waiting for after the Super Bowl, the sense of urgency is there but it's not reckless. Nice to have some adults in charge.
  6. Well, I hope Tress Way can adjust to a snap hitting him in the hands.
  7. So Washington...here we are lined up for a great draft position as our Christmas present but somehow they will screw this up and leave us a turd in our stocking meaning, they will win. Please before somebody goes on the whole "they are professionals and want to win diatribe" yeah, I know, we get it, I am 53 and have heard it all before. We are fans and we want them to lose but not look as incompetent as they have been doing it. 13 - 10 Commies win, Jets lose and the television viewing public that has this game in their market, also loses.
  8. Ugh, tough to find something there, I guess you can be thankful you are not one of them.
  9. Well, at least wearing black was fitting yesterday...might as well have been a funeral for the season as the Giants buried them.
  10. Prediction? I will be on my third slice of pie. Should be cool enough for me to have a fire. Annoying glare of sun blinding you in the gap of Jerruh World and blinding Sam Howell as the Manders struggle to cross mid-field Score? Bovine Cartel - 34 Commanders - 13 Try to have a Happy Thanksgiving anyway.
  11. Every time I see KDawg's new avatar with Major Tuddy I keep taking the next exit and looking for the barbeque joint.
  12. Well, at least Ron recognizes that truth about divisional games. Maybe go coach up the fellas some? You laid a big old turd in the punch bowl on Amazon Prime, here's a chance to inch over .500 and if the Eagles lose to Miami, you are at least in the conversation in the division...for a week or so.
  13. Agree, he did bring a level of respectability and the perception to media and the rest of the league, that at least there was one adult in the room. I would like to drink a beer or two with Jay Gruden but the perception of the team on his watch was worse. At least there seemed like there was/is a plan and some direction, a lot of plans and direction don't work out. This seems to be the case but it's not the absolute farce it was a few years ago, at least in my untrained eyes.
  14. Yep! The one guy with insight to that locker room. Still a lot of carry over from last year. Who are the leaders on this team?
  15. Well, given last night's performance, black was fitting. RR is dead man walking and the way the team played left a home crowd sounding like they were at a funeral. Overall, they do suck...basically all the new unis, I have yet to see a combo that I was like, oh man, that looks good. Only thing they got right was the finish on the helmet.
  16. I misread the thread title and thought they were making Del Rio's bust for Canton. 😆
  17. I like BRob as he does not put the ball on the turf. He seemed a bit clumsy between the tackles but he brings the load and initiates contact in open field.
  18. The guy is 6 games started in this league. He's tough and did you see some of the throws last night? The pick was bad, the ball behind Brown, eh, he threw a good ball the next play but the dime he dropped for McLaurin? That was sick and much better than what we have had in house for a while.
  19. DL showed up a little bit in the second half as they were getting punked and they do care about their reps to an extent but when you get paid or have been paid, that play every down or eye of the tiger seems to go out the window. Over hyped for sure.
  20. Well, the non-PI call didn't chafe me as much after Howell hit McLaurin the play after and they were pretty much in the same position but the non-grounding call? That was a big one as the next play or two they score. The grounding call would have put them so far back, long FG, 4 point difference or possibly 7 if the miss. Probably if, ands and buts at that point as I don't think they would have won anyway given the vibe of the team but definitely pivotal at that point and time.
