I liked the uniforms but I was pretty sure the players hated them. Doubt we will see them again due to the association with the breakdown in the second half. Part of me wish we had worn them to play the Giants on the road. That was gritty, gutty, old time Redskins performance and would have done justice to the throwbacks because the Redskins punched the Giants right in the mouth that night. -
Look for Thursday Night against Chicago. Seems like a long time to wait though.

Well, mostly true. They did wear burgundy in 02 with the throwbacks.

Go throwback! I would imagine opening day would be as good as any and the cloak and dagger stuff makes it seem more likely. The Redskins only have 2 prime time games and one is away so my guess would be this Sunday, the Thursday Nighter against the Bears and maybe the season closer against the Pukes. I think a team can only wear alternates three times a year, I think.

Nope, no burgundy on burgundy that anyone can recall. I think their jerseys are a slightly different shade than the pants. What about the 70th Throwbacks? Nope, just checked, that was burgundy on very gold pants. I like that look better than this year's throwback but hey that's just me.

I think they look pretty cool but not for a whole season. Am I the only one that thinks they kind of look like they came out of Any Given Sunday?

I'm with you. I think I like the 70th better. The spear is an excellet helmet as is our present one. The R with feather is great for nostalgia but I don't think I want to see it too much. That mustard yellow is just a little much for me.

First I have heard of the throwbacks, looking forward to seeing that helmet. What was it a few years back with the spear helmet...was that an anniversary? I guess it was the 70th?
