Toe Jam
I'm currently on hour 27 and I'm about ready to fall out. What's the longest you've had to stay awake and why?
Forehead
About 60 or so hours, and for the stupidest reason imaginable.
No Excuses
Hmm freshmen year I went 30 hours I think. Procrastinated on a paper till the night before it was due and it turned out to be a whale of an assignment. Had classes all day so I didn't get a chance to sleep after turning the paper in. MassSkinsFan
About 2.5 days. Because I was a senior in college, done with all academic obligations, and doing a bunch of music-related things (and partying). It was surreal.
Kosher Ham
76 hours: party, study, school, work, study, school, party, date, workout, study, school, party, workout...zzzzzzz. And I don't mean workout at the gym.
No_Pressure
When I was in high school I played 28 hours straight of video games one summer day while my parents were away on a trip. After a while it got to the point where I was drunk with sleepiness and just playing for the hell of it. I went from kicking everyone else's asses to getting my ass kicked in a comical way. It was PC games I played, specifically medal of honor: allied assault back then. I remember having a buddy I played with who had left to go to sleep at 10:00 or so who was back on around 10:00 AM and was saying wow you're on early again today huh? I told him no man I've been on since you went to sleep last night and he was pretty surprised to say the least. I eventually passed out and slept for about 12 hours which meant I woke up late at night and was on a vampire sleep schedule until my parents got back. I vowed never to do that again. Popeman38
Made it approximately 84 hours when deployed. Tons of coffee, cigarettes and Skoal. Worst week of my life. Was literally hallucinating towards the end. Slept 18 hours straight afterward. Wasn't right for about a month. Kicked my ass.....

sean_e_b
Stayed up for around 72 hours when I was 12 years old. It was the first day of summer break and I did it for no other reason other than to test my endurance. Slept for around 18 hours when I finally went to sleep. bcl05
I used to do 36 hour shifts (probably ~40-45 hours of awake time) every 3rd or 4th day during residency training. Nothing good can come from that. Miserable.
