Haslett continues to make bad defensive calls. We have winning, veteran coaches. It's time for them to stop making bone-headed decisions in game. It's time to step up and coach like winners. Hopefully, this is elucidated next week. if we played like we did against the rams we would have lost, if we played like we did against houston we might have blown them out, if we played like we did against dallas maybe it's closer........ but you know what, we played like we did against the Eagles today. and we won. do you really think the eagles are happy they only moved the ball with dumps vs. a prevent defense? complain all you want, but the team on the field opposite of us has all the youth and playmaking ability in the world and didn't break one big play. that was our achilles heel all last year, or did you forget who jackson, marshall, and the others who blew by landry last year? Arian Foster should have not of lead in rushing because he plays for the Texans The Rams should have not won two games in a row because they went 1-15 last season Michael Vick should have 0 TD because he runs a lot Laron Landry and Rocky McIntosh should have less tackles than every other defender the NFL because the defense they play in is ranked last. They can't keep playing like this and expect to be very good. And BTW, we better hope Trent is back next week. What percentage of our penalties were committed by Heyer? Over 50% I'd bet. Oh, eagles didn't deserve this game either. They're possibly worse than us without Vick. But that doesn't mean we're a good team. It doesn't mean we're going to do great things this year. tshile Posted October 4, 2010 Share Posted October 4, 2010 recurring theme of this team. for the last 30 years. they almost lost week 1 vs the cowboys, but there was a holding penalty. they lost week 2, due to a catch (similar to this weeks game), and some shotty OT play they decided not to play the first 5 minutes of the game last week and lost and they almost lost this week on a last second play, after dominating the game for 3 quarters. a win is a win, but goddamn you have to play better then that if you want to have a good season. i'd be fine with it, cause it's a new system etc - but they have so much potential, and it sucks to watch them try to lose the game every week in the last 5 minutes. None of those statements or analysis are valid. A team can't give a game away, beat themselves or lose a game when the score is in their favor when the final buzzer rings. Teams make mistakes during a game all the time. Whether it is the coaches, players on the field or people in the front office mistakes get made and that is part of the game.
