Wilmer man admits to sexually abusing horse, raping woman; sentenced to 3 years

MOBILE, Alabama – A Wilmer man today pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a miniature horse and raping a woman, and a judge somewhat reluctantly accepted a deal offered by prosecutors for a three-year prison sentence.

None of the participants in the courtroom – the judge, prosecutor and defendant Eric Steven Easley -- appeared satisfied with the result.

Easley, 29, hesitated when Mobile County Circuit Judge Joseph “Rusty” Johnston asked him if he was pleading guilty because he was guilty.

“Not necessarily. … It’s in my best interest to plead guilty,” he said.

Johnston told Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Wright that her description of the rape was more violent than he had believed.

“Right now, I’m a little bit shaky about taking it (the plea),” he said.

Wright said prosecutors had issues related to the victim in the case. She said the woman had a drug problem, a warrant for her arrest and recently had eluded police. Prosecuting the rape under those circumstances would have been difficult, she said.

“It’s pretty disturbing, probably top 10 disturbing case,” Johnston said.

Under terms of the plea bargain, the judge sentenced Easley to 15 years in prison and suspended all but three years. After serving that time, the defendant will be on probation for five years, and Johnston ordered him to serve it under the intense supervision of the Mobile County Community Corrections Center.

The judge also dismissed animal cruelty and domestic violence charges as part of the deal.

The assault on the miniature horse occurred on Oct. 29, 2010. Wright said Easley went onto the property on Wilmer Road, tied the animal’s tail to a fence post inside the horse pen and then sexually assaulted it.

The owner later found her 2-year-old horse, Ebony Ice, injured and traumatized. She also discovered Easley’s wallet inside the pen.

So what? Just because this woman had various issues of her own doesn't mean that her rape shouldn't be treated any less seriously. And why isn't his parole term for the remainder of the 15 year sentence instead of just 5 years?

Brittany Sonnier Accused Of Engaging In Illicit Acts With Family Dogs

An Arizona woman who allegedly confessed to her boyfriend that she has sex with dogs and fantasizes about incest has been charged with crimes against nature, police said.

Brittany Angelique Sonnier, 20, is accused of committing "vaginal and oral sex with two canines" in Lake Havasu City, according to police Sgt. Joe Harrold.

"We received a report ... alleging bestiality on the part of Brittany Sonnier. Our investigations bureau investigated the allegations and [then] forwarded a criminal complaint to the county attorney's office," Harrold told The Huffington Post.

So what? Just because this woman had various issues of her own doesn't mean that her rape shouldn't be treated any less seriously. And why isn't his parole term for the remainder of the 15 year sentence instead of just 5 years?

Erm...

It's not that the crime is less serious. It's that their confidence in securing a conviction is much less. If someone has credibility issues or is a particularly unsympathetic figure for some reason, they take it into consideration. Shouldn't be surprising.

I suspect there are more factors than appeared in that article

Homophobic Family Values Group Accuses GEICO Pig Commercials of Promoting Bestiality

The "advocacy group" One Million Moms is at it again. The group/collection of homophobic trolls, best known for protesting JCPenny not once but twice, has recently carved out a bizarre niche market for themselves by accusing popular commercials of promoting bestiality. Last year, it was Skittles; this year, it's GEICO, for the insurance company's creepy commercials in which a pig spends time with a young woman in a convertible. As ABC News describes the commercial:

The car has just broken down, and Maxwell uses his mobile GEICO application to locate a tow truck. The woman seems frustrated that the tow truck will arrive so quickly, as she asks, "Oh, so that means we won't be stuck up here for hours, with nothing to do?" The pig brushes off her advances.

Sexy, right? And definitely dangerous for children. So dangerous, in fact, that it might make make kids attracted to pigs, or something like that, according to Monica Cole, the director of One Million Moms.

Steven Ryder jail term over bestiality images overturned

 

A man jailed over images of bestiality has his conviction overturned as "extreme pornography" legislation was not in force until after the offences.

 

Appeal judges heard the law used to prosecute Steven Ryder, 45, came in weeks after the time span of the charges against him.

Ryder has now been given a community payback order and will attend a sex offenders group.  This relates to a charge of possessing indecent images of children.

 

The judges also added a string of conditions to the payback order, including that he should not own or look after animals without the prior approval of his supervising officer.

 

Ryder earlier admitted making indecent photos of children and possessing extreme pornographic images of bestiality at a house in
Ogilvie Street, in Dundee.

More than 4,000 indecent images of children were recovered from computer equipment along with video clips.

In addition, more than 2,000 images of sex with animals were found along with more than 500 pieces of footage.

A 50-year-old man was charged with having sex with a pit bull while on a tour of the Chicago Animal Care and Control Facility, prosecutors said Saturday.

 

Gerardo Perez, of the 2500 block of West 38th Street was charged with felony having sexual conduct with an animal, and burglary, after he was found having sexual relations with a pit bull at the city pound, according to police.

 

Perez was found in a cage with a white and grey pit bull by an empoyee after he entered a restricted area while on a tour of the Chicago Animal Care and Control Facility at 2741 S. Western Ave. on May 29, prosecutors said.

 

He was allegedly on his hands and knees on the side of the dog, appearing to have had just had sex with the animal, prosecutors said.

Detroit police respond after students walking to school film naked man having sex with dog

 

(WXYZ) - Detroit Police thought they had seen it all, until this morning. Students on the way to Denby High School saw a man having sex with a dog. They shot video on their cell phone and showed it to school security, who called police. 

 

When they arrived, they found a naked man sitting on the ground behind two vacant houses near the corner of Kelly and Spring Garden. 

 

He rushed a female officer, but he was subdued.He was also bleeding from his head. It turns out, he tried to get into a stolen car nearby that had New Jersey plates.
