TSO
http://www.nfl.com/players/robertthomas/profile?id=THO353111He can't be all bad. According to this site, he has already made 2 tackles for the skins. :hysterical: Who'd he tackle, two guys on the medical staff?
Area51
Lets Give the guy a chance before everyone automatically is considering him camp fodder/depth-at best.

Dan T.
Well, he's got lots of starting experience in the league... 30 games with the Rams from 2002 to 2004, 9 games with the Packers in 2005, and 11 games with the Raiders through last year. He suffered a season-ending hamstring injury week 9 against Atlanta. If his health issues are resolved, this is a good signing for depth at a position of need. Here's an article on his signing from his hometown paper: http://www.ivpressonline.com/articles/2009/04/08/sports/sports01.txt

Never4get#21
Another first round bust that the skins hope will have a resurgence with a new team. Let's see if we get lucky this time.

Rocky21
We need some veteran depth in the LB corps. Good low cost signing by this inept FO.
Warpath11
Insurance in case Khary Campbell does not sign. I see him playing the exact same role as Khary (if he does not resign).
TheLongshot
Another first round bust that the skins hope will have a resurgence with a new team. Let's see if we get lucky this time. Veteran depth who also plays special teams is never a bad thing. Anyone check out his number with the Raiders? It sounds like those of you who got free Taylor jersies will have a rooting interest in this guy making the team.

That Redskins Fan
in bubba's thread it states he will be given a chance at the strong side I love his ability to play all linebacker positions
Hooper
I have a bad feeling we're going to take a skill player in the first round and band-aid our real needs with signings like this. Taking a linemen in the first round is not Danny/Vinny's style.
skinsfannyc76
I'm hopeful, but it sounds like another Erasmus James.
LeftCoast Skinz FAN
I see he has made his way around the league with stops in St. Louis, Green Bay, Oakland and now DC. I am going out on a limb here but I am going to guess this is not his last stop. :helmet:
IVSkinsFan
I live in the Imperial Valley, so I know a thing or two about Robert Thomas. He is a good athlete, but a little injury prone. I have somewhat followed him in the NFL. My wife is a life long Rams fan, so she was super excited when they drafted a hometown guy in the first round. I have met Robert on several occasions and can tell you that he is a little undersized, but should be a good situational and special teams player. Don't expect him to start. Rufus T Firefly
People are a little too dismissive of this signing, imo. The guy was a solid starter two years ago. Good depth signing, and could start if healthy. Not a stud by any means, but a good pickup anyway.
