skinzdar55
Great to hear, I'm sure he would only go if he felt 100% ready. He may even just play situationally. I'm just glad that he'll get some involvement on the field. I agree! Also, your sig ####### rocks!!
gortiz
i'm going to read into this big time. I think JC is FREAKING DIEING TO GET IN AND PLAY. I think he want's to be part of this run. I mean, if the guy is gonna sit out a game and rest, it would be this one. I also think JT want's to play at home and hear the crowd and lay some wood. zCommander
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/oct/10/taylor-could-return-to-redskins-lineup/ "Even at less than 100 percent, getting Taylor back could be a boost. But if there is a flare-up, he knows another week off is possible. " Let him sit until the Lions game. PLEASE!!!!!!
lanceman_1
That's awsome. The doc's and coaches definetly would not let him play if they though there was a chance of him getting hurt. Get over it and go back to work, lunch break is over.
Morneblade
True, but I don't think his football legs have become all that rubbery yet. He has only missed two games. It is not like he has been out two or three months. I's pretty close actually. He missed all OTA's and minicamp. Then he got traded to us when we had already started training camp and wasnt in shape for it, he said so himslef. Then he gets his knee rolled up and hasnt been healthy all year. So he really hasnt gotten into football shape yet and IF he is 100%, he needs to be out there.
dreamboater
something tells me the coaches are much more concerned than we are about rushing him back. I am quite certain if they are starting him, he is ready. I am thinking he will start but be heavily rotated. I am happy to see him out there. The Full Monty
I wish they'd just rest JT. It's the Rams. Some scrub off the street will try and go for JT's knees just to make a name for himself.

I just can't see them feeling pressure to rush him back coming off back to back wins without him. We may not have had any sacks but the D-line play was solid overall. I just hope there is no drop-off with the run defense.
fire3fighter4
i really hope they're not rushing him. don't want a lingering injury, especially considering how important he can be to this team. but JT is a warrior and really wants to play. here's hoping that he doesn't sustain any other injuries the rest of the season! He said he wanted to play against philly....something tells me he's fine..especially if the coaches think he is.
Chump Bailey
To the people that are trying to play Coach and say he needs to sit again: :stfu:Have you not heard his comments? He feels left out, he wants to contribute. He is more hungry than ever. Stop acting like you have more knowledge than our professional staff. Some folks are saying it because they feel it would be more prudent for him to sit than risk further injury - obviously. Jason has not been 100% or anything close to it since the first quarter of the Giant's game. The team looks as though we could be in the mix come December and January. We have plenty of depth at his position and Evans is playing well. I don't think it is all that unreasonable to feel that way; however, if he wants to play and feels up to it - than so be it. abdcskins
I wish they'd just rest JT. Me too. I'd rather play it safe and have Jason 100%. Obviously it's great to have him out there but this is the Rams, and we've managed to do well with him on the sidelines. It would suck for him to have a setback. We are investing a lot in him, let's not ruin our investment.
demoonda
Let's play him a little. We have the benefit of the three next games being "easier" (i.e. not IN dallas, not IN philly; I'm not taking any team lightly). Hopefully, he can ramp up to 100% over this stretch. I'm pumped to see what he can do.
[[ghost]]
Pretty risky IMO. But what the hell do I know. 'Sides, starting doesn't mean he'll play the whole time.
tenken627
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/ Washington a Game-Time Decision Strong-side linebacker Marcus Washington, hampered by recurring hamstring problems the past two seasons, will be a game-time decision, Zorn said. Washington has missed two games, including last week's victory over Philadelphia. Defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin (shoulder) will be re-evaluated today but is expected to play. Cornerback Shawn Springs, who sat out last week because of a calf injury, will be active. Safety Reed Doughty (back) has been ruled out, Zorn said. Heyer to Miss Rams Game From Jason Reid; Tackle Stephon Heyer (shoulder) will be inactive against the Rams, Jim Zorn said. "He's probably the furthest guy away" among Washington's injured players, Zorn said. "I'm going to put him down. He just doesn't have enough strength in that shoulder yet to really explode." Heyer, who practiced Thursday and today, said his shoulder felt well enough for him to play but "that's his decision. It's up to him. There is no setback. "I guess he just still wants me to rest a little more. It's a lot better." Taylor 'Looks Like He's Up to Speed' Having recovered well from emergency surgery less than three weeks ago, Redskins Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor could start tomorrow against the St. Louis Rams at Fed Ex Field. Taylor, who underwent a procedure Sept. 22 to relieve compartment syndrome in his left calf, practiced yesterday for the second time this week. Coach Jim Zorn was encouraged that Taylor "moved well" in limited reps and "looks like he's up to speed," saying he expected the 12-year veteran to participate against the Rams. No Excuses
Jason Taylor should be used as a pass rush specialist. Rotate him and Demetric Evans a lot and keep the other teams tackles guessing. I think he our defense in general will be more effective if JT is used as a specialist than an every down player.

I think that's what you'll see and if we get way ahead of the Rams, don't be surprised to see him sitting on the bench. But I say let him play, we don't know the gist of it. The trainers and doctors are on this. If he's practicing full speed with no problems, he's good to go.
Mister Mean
if Jt wasn't ready, he would not play if the coaches thought this would hurt his full recovery, he would not play Jt needs to play if healthy, he needs a couple of games and a couple of weeks of practice to get his conditioning back before some of our bigger games start back up marcus can't seem to stay healthy, and its dissapointing because he is a playmaker
Cherick
As long as he is anything close to 90% I say it's great he is in! plus Springs in as well! Damn! Bring on the lambs!!
RWJ
I agree w/those that think he should sit out another game. One more week would be beneficial in the healing process. All we need is for his scar to open back up and he might be out for another 3 to 4 weeks.
StillUnknown
JT's a competitor, i'm sure he took alot of pride in that consecutive games streak. i'm sure he's aching to get back on the field, especially with the success we've been having. Forehead
Personally, I'm liking the way this week is shaping up injury wise. Taylor can play sparingly over the next few weeks and get fully ready to play against Pittsburgh. Griffin is going to play, which just gives us another D-Lineman in the rotation to stop Steven Jackson. Springs is going to play, giving us a CB/Safety option and hopefully neutralizing Torry Holt. Heyer is not playing, which is fine because Jansen has been clearing plenty of space on the right hand side, and Portis may seriously go off this game running behind our line. Doughty is not playing which is fine with me, because I've started to believe he's more of a liability on anything other than special teams. Washington may not play, but Blades is pretty good, and the Rams are a good team for him to get more experience. I really think the Rams are in trouble. How are they going to stop Portis? Better question, how the hell are they going to stop Moss and Cooley?
