  1. I couldn’t possibly agree more! Obviously the O is well ahead of the D so far, but their abysmal performance in the 1st half absolutely takes the blame in making a struggling unit like the D, worse by wearing them out. Kudos to the O for coming alive and what seemed like some pretty good adjustments after halftime, but their putrid first half, players AND coach(es), dug too deep of a hole to try and climb out of. It is nice tho, to have a QB that can give the team a chance to come back from a multiple score deficit.
  2. It’s getting to where going to large public gatherings just isn’t worth it anymore. I know his was a carjacking attempt but going to where large groups of people are, just multiplies the chances of there being irresponsible and irrational people with a gun. Damn shame. I pray that this young man makes a full recovery!🙏🏼
  3. Amen! We all know how grossly underrated RK was around the league during his prime years, but he was/is also grossly underrated by a big percentage of our fan base. I have never understood this. He is easily a Top 5 defensive player in the history of our franchise. It’s not his fault that he played mostly on mediocre to bad teams.
  4. Damn! Two all-time posts by two creative posters in one night! Bless the 2022 Draft! 🤣🤣 Kudos!
  5. Amen! You definitely did for the two of us! We’ve been scratching our heads all night.
  6. My 20 yr old son and I are literally crying/laughing tears over this. Been on this board for over 17 years, and this is EASILY one of the funniest 3 posts I’ve read. BRAVO(A)!! 🤣🤣🤣
  7. For those in the camp that want a TE to be drafted this weekend, keep an eye on James Mitchell from Va Tech on Saturday. My son played against James in high school. I was able to meet this kid and his family, and got to know them a bit. If he stays healthy, he will become a productive player in the NFL. Super smart, super hard worker, good athleticism. https://ontapsportsnet.com/2022/04/25/the-other-guys-james-mitchell-draft-profile-2022-nfl-draft-prospects/ EDIT: He came from the same high school that produced Thomas and Julius Jones. Very small, rural area, but lives and breathes football. The area has produced a few professional athletes.
  8. I agree with this. I wish that A. Robinson was a target as well. Always been a fan of his. Tons of talent, and like Terry, bad qb play has limited what he could really do.
  9. This will be my last post on the matter. You seem to have a hard time with what I’m trying to say, but I will address this post of yours in 3 parts….. 1) I’m not sure if you understand how American mainstream media works, but they say what they want, when they want, no matter the topic. 2) What? 3) Brother, since my very first post on this matter, I’ve laid out my reasoning for why I feel the way I do. I’ve asked you to do the same, with no success. I’m very open minded on this matter. I believe what my eyes and little experience in the game tells me. If someone can show me something different, I’ll definitely consider changing my stance.
  10. Ok. You saying that the players were totally responsible for the preseason hype, tells me all I need to know. The media hype train on the defense was full speed as well. You’ve had 2 separate opportunities to factually correct me in what I and MANY, MANY others are seeing every weekend. You’ve obviously failed. Let’s just agree to disagree. You keep believing it’s all on the players and I’ll keep believing that ALL parties involved have their own issues that need to be corrected, including the coaches.
  11. Yes, that’s exactly what I said. I’m no NFL expert, but I can plainly see that the defensive scheme is not as complex as other team’s are, around the league. Also, you cherry-picked from my post. I specifically said that I couldn’t understand why so many fans just immediately put ALL of the fault on the players. I actually said that they DO deserve some of the blame. There’s plenty of blame to go around. JDR is their boss. Ron is his boss. No matter the reason, it’s their responsibility to fix things when they’re broken. JDR’s history speaks for itself. His defenses tend to take a huge step back from year 1 to year 2, which is happening as we speak. It’s a big reason why he had been out of football for years before WFT hired him. Four QBs have now picked apart this supposed “vaunted” defense, this season. The mind-blowing pace of 3rd down conversions being given up is against a ridiculously soft zone, an overwhelmingly majority of the time. Greg Williams was a master against this type of situation. Sure, bringing heat runs the risk of being beat deep, but Good Lord, doesn’t that sound some better than the historical ineptitude of getting off the field, that we’re currently watching? The broken record of continuing to just rely on the front four is killing the team right now. Tom Brady laid the blueprint on how to neutralize this front four, which is exactly what Herbert, Jones, Allen, and Ryan have done so far, with getting the ball out super quick. Add to this, that we have one of the worst LB units in the league, spells doom for our defense to be able to do anything to stop the intermediate passing game. Also, Fuller has regressed while continuing to be played away from his strengths, and like Josh Norman, WJIII has spent his career as m2m CB who is now being asked to play WAY more zone, and he’s struggling. Collins is what he’s been the entire time, decent in the run game, lost in coverage. Outside of the long CP touchdown on Sunday, I haven’t been terribly disappointed with McCain. I do feel that Curl needs more snaps, and I wish Reaves was playing as well. One final thing. After reading your post initially, I tried to do some research on JDR’s defense, just to see if I were missing something. Can you point me in the direction of what you’ve read that shows his defenses are the opposite of what I’m seeing?
  12. This!!!! It is amazing to me the amount of fans that want to blame just the players. Don’t get me wrong, there is still SOME blame to go around to a lot of the players, but the scheme is so unbelievably vanilla. JDR is just not in touch with today’s NFL. I played ball thru (small) college and spent another 10 years coaching at that level. I don’t pretend to be an expert at learning or teaching the intricacies of an NFL defense, but that is my whole point. If someone like me can identify where our biggest problems are on defense, then something is terribly wrong. I really, really like Rivera as a human being, but he needs to make something happen. He’s the boss and ultimately it falls on him.
  13. Not hating on the kid, but he was a backup in the XFL for a reason. He’s athletic enough to make an exciting play here or there, but he’s not the guy. The 35 year search for an answer at QB continues.
  14. For years, I’ve had a hard time being optimistic heading into games against true contenders, like the Bills. For some reason, I feel really good about this game. I expect to see vast improvement from the defense, including a score from this side of the ball to go along with 4-5 sacks and 3+ turnovers forced. Of course I hope that TH pans out, but I’m not a card holding member of the Hive…..yet. Call it “Battered Fan Syndrome”. A big game today against a quality opponent like Buffalo, may cause me to fill out an application. WFT - 31 Buff - 20
