BleedinBurgNGold
So... Horton looked real good. Understanding hes a Rookie. Is it too early to make the switch? Or Hortons on a Roll. Go with him?
fdarugar
Absolutely not too early...Horton looks like a playmaker. He made more plays in 1 game than Reed Doughty has in his career.
Skeletor The Invincible
One game doesn't make a starter. But it was a heck of a game. And Doughty hasn't exactly been making himself visible.
BleedinBurgNGold
An Injury (Or Death in the case of ST) Doesn't make a starter either in the case of Reed. HTTR
zCommander
How many interceptions has Reed had in one game?
terpfan
Honestly I will be quite disappointed if Horton isnt starting next week.
NeueRedskinWelle
Looked great in Pre-season and absolutely loved seeing him play today. He gets my nod. You can just tell he WANTS to play football and WANTS to do good.
StillUnknown
Horton deserves to start next week regardless of the health of Reed Doughty
expensivegift
I will be baffled if Horton doesn't start ahead of Doughty.
BnG4ever326
I like Reed. I really do. He's a good guy. Good team player. BUT...he picked a BAD TIME to get a stomach virus! He just might get Wally Pipp-ed after today. Chris Horton had a SENSATIONAL game and he's going to start next week.
KingGibbs
You don't lose your starting job to injury or illness. You do lose your job when you're not an all-pro or dominant starter, when a ROOKIE plays his first game and has the biggest impact a rookie has had here, in his first game in years. It's Horton's job to lose now. Period.
SprintBomb
Gotta go with Horton. 2 INTs and a fumble recovery....sorrry Reed.
RabidFan
I think the team is counting on Moore to take over the starting role but his health hasn't helped him and now he has competition with Horton.
Monte51Coleman
Some players just have a way to be in the right place at the right time. Start Horton.
RonArtest15
I certainly hope Horton stays in the starting lineup. I can't recall Doughty having an effect on a game like Horton did. You could tell from the preseason, that there was something about CH. He was always around the ball. I think he's the better player, and we don't win if he isn't out there today. Reed will make a good backup and make his presence felt on ST. Football is funny like that....it's all about opportunities. Obviously this was on a larger scale, but Tom Brady doesn't get a chance unless Drew Bledsoe got hurt...there are cases like this every year in the NFL, and we may have one on our hands... Taylor 21
I, for one, believed that he should have started the first week of the season. It should be interesting how this turns out. Im curious to see how he will bounce back from a bad game later on this season if he has one. Obviously this message board will probably say they want him traded or cut and what not. But I've always liked this kid, and thought he should have started since the get go.
Chachie
Horton has done in one day more than Doughty as a Redskin. He'll make rookie mistakes but he's the starter we develop from here.
angel2
Right now, I think you have to keep things as they are because Horton is better at being disguise in coverage and seems to have a Knapp of being around the ball. Did Doughty get burned?
ST is my boy
I agree that one game doesnt make a player.....but their is no question Horton just played a football game better than Reed has EVER played in his career....should be interesting to see who is on the field against Arizona. BraveWarrior
I'd like to see Horton start next week. We'll see from there. But I do think he appears to be around the ball and involved in plays more than I've ever seen from Doughty.
