Two years ago was the "HarBowl"

I gotta disagree. There have been some pretty competitive SB games over the past fifteen years...

The HarBowl was good. The Steelers Cards was excellent. Both Giants vs Pats games were down to the wire. And that's just to name a few right off the top of my head.

Damn. He and Donatell would have been a nice addition to the Skins.

Surprised he joined a D minded HC in Chicago. Maybe it was a stability move..as in Gruden is more likely to be gone before Fox?

Yes. I think the coaching stability was the deciding factor. But Donatell is still in play. He didn't follow him to Chicago.

Looking back at it...

Out of the SBs since 2000, nine of them have been decided by a TD or less. And that's not even taking garbage time into consideration. Some of the games decided by more were much more competitive than the score indicates.

Instinctually. Hmm.

Try it. The beauty is the simplicity. Go with your logic and instincts, I'll stick with my gum test (My wife even knows about it).

Think of it this way instead , are you willing to invest 2 bucks to see if a woman is worth your time ?

The little things add up. If she is not willing to do the little things...pfft. I have no interest in a gold digger, or a woman that can not take care of herself. She does something as simple as picking up a pack of gum...and then does not need reimbursement. She invested 2 bucks because she is interested in something perhaps long term.

obviously anybody alive would spend two dollars on "tht investment" ... if it worked.    I just don't think it works, nor do i think that it tells very much.  Some real scumbaggery people would easily give you a $2- pack of gum, and some truly wonderful people would forget about the insignificant pack of gum because their mind was dreamily in the clouds about the fact that you guys were actually getting together, or whatever.

I also think that plenty of people would take-back the $2 offered, not because they were cheap, but because it just frankly isn't a big deal, either way, and just wouldn't want to MAKE it a big deal by going through the whole "... oh no, I insist..." back and forth.

there are sooooooo many ways to get a "false positive" OR a "false negative" from your test... its a bad test.

Post weekend thoughts/stuff:

Spent a lot of my weekend binge watching Shameless to get caught up through season 4. I love that show and think it's one of the best on TV right now. But holy **** does the emotional rollercoaster jerk you around. Ended up having multiple dreams about being involved with the Gallaghers and that universe for the past two nights.

Jpage, welcome to shameless. It's a MAGNIFICENT show. WilLiam H. Macy is so incredibly funny. Great acting all around and helluva story. I love the show, but not many ES'ers watch it :(

Oh I'm aware. I've been a fan since it began. Watched the first premiere and was instantly hooked. But after the first two seasons my girl and I moved out of her mom's house and thus lost Showtime lol. So after watching season three via sketchy streams we just waited until we could watch it legit. Got offered a deal for half off on Showtime this year and got it. Ran through all of season 4 in two days. Gonna get caught up on the first episodes of season 5 sometime this week. Lol I need a break though. Binge watching that show puts me in a funk lol. I love it, and it's one of the greatest on TV right now. But spending a whole lot of consistent time with your mind in that universe can put you in a scary place lol. Hoping to get caught back up on House of Lies as well. I'm way behind on that one.

The Walking Dead is coming back...

Oh, blessed be, for I have yearned to gaze upon your face again, Rick.

What's the date on the triumphant return? I miss the TWD thread on Mondays already, and reading "The Mocking Dead" live tweets during every episode.

And just out of curiosity, did str0ker catch a suspension after last week?

He's not showing as banned, but if he was put on read-only, I don't think that shows up.  I don't think it was Stroker that said what Jumbo quoted the other day in his warning post, but if it was, he could be on a vacation.

Either that or Moco harnessed all the energy from those new glasses and time warped him back to London in the year 1825.
