mcsluggo
My student loan debt is at such a low interest rate that (in theory) I should just pay the minimum and invest the difference. I still got 2 car payments, 2 student loans, and a mortgage. Again though my one car payment, student loan, and mortgage are right at 3% give or take an eighth of a point. I just paid off my last credit card, that's good. I plan on not carrying a balance again. Not to get political, but the student loan thing is a political issue in a way. Not in the normal way Occupy makes it out to be, though. The gov't backs student loans, so there's little to no risk for lenders. It makes money cheap. Universities see cheap money and they've been raising their costs for years. There's an arms race in universities going on. They're building bigger, more, better dorms and buildings. Better facilities (like gyms). It's unecessary in my opinion and the glut of cheap money is partially to blame. For decades, a lot of smart people came through our universities without the cushy digs. Anyway, congress guaranteed the money so more people could have access to college, not so prices could keep rising. and not so that banks could could make huge risk-free profits. this is a place where dogmatism got in the way of pragmatism. The government could lend directly to students at a lower cost to taxpayers and a MUCH lower price to students... but to some that smacks of socialism. Elessar78
So, this was a thing before the Seahawks took it down. Wow. I know that's prob. not his tweet, but that's CORNBALL. I guess you gotta give props to an org that would equate winning an OT playoff game to the Civil Rights movement. Yeah, take the steps brothas! The government could lend directly to students at a lower cost to taxpayers and a MUCH lower price to students... but to some that smacks of socialism. The game is rigged. Every time the gov't has some kind of initiative you can bet that (esp. Wall Street) will find a way to make money off of it. I mean, that's their game but then they lobby to put it in their favor and the citizens who are supposed to benefit become a secondary concern. It's a huge beef for me right now, because, in effect there are so many forms of Gov't welfare. Food stamp programs and welfare checks are basically a huge gov't transfer payment to the likes of Wal-Mart and dollar stores.
mcsluggo
MLS, Never go back. Is this new lady why you were asking me about that Gum thing ? Shortened version, When you first start talking to a lady before you think you are serious and before you have sex. Ask her to pick you up with something simple like a pack of gum (you conveniently won't have time) . Something cheap. Something she really won't have to out of her way for, make it easy. Tell her that you will give her the money when you guys see each other, and thank her. When you see her; If she doesn't have it - Cut bait. She forgot - Cut bait. She actually accepts the $2 bucks for a pack of gum - Cut bait. You don't have to be rude to her or anything, just don't be too accessible. Friend Zone that ass. It will tell you a lot about where her mindset is, her attention to detail, not to mention financially if she is not willing to invest 2 bucks into your relationship...I know I don't want her. if you are meeting somebody new, and they have come up with little hoops for you to do to prove your mettle... run for the ****ing hills. (which is to say, this is the some of the most asinine crap i have ever heard! are you the old washer-woman from a Grimm brothers story?)
Kosher Ham
The hoop is worth the time and effort wasted not knowing from the get-go. So many of these guys wonder why they are stuck in the friend zone or keep getting used. They allow themselves to be used. My hoop is tried and true. skinsmarydu
It's because your 'script is set for 20 feet in front of you (they correct to make you "20/20"). Your feet are only about 5-6 feet away from your eyes. Sounds like you're near sighted (far away stuff look blurry without glasses?). I think smaller frames would help with this too, since you can just "peek" out of the bottom without looking down, so your glasses only affect straight ahead vision. mcsluggo
Ha Ha. A few weeks back I was the same ..... back to back episodes of 'Airwolf' and 'The A-Team.' I was in heaven. . And then I find out the BBC are re-running 'The Rockford Files' early in an afternoon. Let's just say the planners set for that too. Lol. Hail. Rockford is on netflix... its been in our regular rotation for a couple of years now. lots of old shows don't weather very well... but i LOVE rockford! The hoop is worth the time and effort wasted not knowing from the get-go. So many of these guys wonder why they are stuck in the friend zone or keep getting used. They allow themselves to be used. My hoop is tried and true. i just don't buy that hokie ****! jpage520
Post weekend thoughts/stuff: Spent a lot of my weekend binge watching Shameless to get caught up through season 4. I love that show and think it's one of the best on TV right now. But holy **** does the emotional rollercoaster jerk you around. Ended up having multiple dreams about being involved with the Gallaghers and that universe for the past two nights. I get kind of annoyed with the way the internet reacts to teams like NE and Seattle going to the Super Bowl. And the way it/they react to good teams/players in general. It's almost like a "You can and should be good!....But not too good or we'll hate you!" kind of mentality. The amount of salt that gets sprinkled around the "twittersphere" and Facebook world when Tom Brady gets wins, or when the Seattle defense shows up to play is mind boggling lol. Don't get me wrong. I hate the Hawks, simply for the fact that they've knocked us out of the playoffs every time since 05. But they're most definitely one of the NFL's elite right now and earned their spot in the big game. Brady is easily one of the greatest QBs of the past 15 years and is a surefire HOFer and will consistently be on GOAT lists for years to come. Just found of that Slipknot and Hatebreed are going on tour together!! Holy ****!! So awesome!!! ...Was my original thought...until I saw their schedule and noticed that they're going to NC, TN, OH, and PA but nowhere in Va, DC, or Md. ...****

She had never been, her Grandfather sat there for a moment to take time for the moment as he had never been either. It was a great time ( the in-laws too). We all had a great time. We just always have a good time, so we figured taking her there would be a nice treat for all of us. Good food, great service, and they make it so easy to enjoy. Glad you enjoyed it. If you like calamari, try theirs its got a sweet and spicy thing going on. Wife and I love it. i just don't buy that hokie ****! I guess you could call that trusting my own instincts better better than an overly simple binary (yes or no) litmus test in a fake lab setting.... Instinctually. Hmm. Try it. The beauty is the simplicity. Go with your logic and instincts, I'll stick with my gum test (My wife even knows about it). Think of it this way instead , are you willing to invest 2 bucks to see if a woman is worth your time ? The little things add up. If she is not willing to do the little things...pfft. I have no interest in a gold digger, or a woman that can not take care of herself. She does something as simple as picking up a pack of gum...and then does not need reimbursement. She invested 2 bucks because she is interested in something perhaps long term.

I think its more that the public (or average football fan) doesn't like that these 2 teams openly don't play by the rules and always seem to get away with it. They both deserve turd sandwiches for the way their coaches, organization, and players flaunt the rules. Here's hoping that the Pats have 20 years of abysmal QB play when Brady retires. God knows their fan base deserves it. As for the Seahawks, I hope they lose 222-0 in the SB.

I think that's a bit questionable though. Brady, Belicheck, and the Pats in general caught plenty of flack even before the "Spygate" thing happened. I've heard numerous people say they hate them because "They're tired of seeing them win again". I mean, given the current situation, sure. You could definitely say that both teams having issues following the rules definitely play a part. But I guess my point has more to do with how fickle the sports universe can really be at times. Kosher Ham
The disgust for the Pats is not because of their success for me. It is because of their fans. They are mostly obnoxious and ignorant drunken fools. As far as the Seahawks go, I am just pissed at the Redskins for losing to them in games they should have won... Alexander out of the game...and you get beat by these scrub WRs ??? Grumble. I would rather the Seahawks win. Besides Red Sox and Bruins fans, the city is as flaky as it gets regarding sports. Springfield
Fangi-who? Also, I hate when people call the Super Bowl the "big game". **** that. There hasn't been a competitive super bowl in years. (Also, I realize that the media can't call it the super bowl because of some dumb NFL legal bull****) The NFL is so dumb. Tom Brady is probably the best QB in the history of the game.
