Rocky21
Thank God we won't have to hear from Ed Werder in the ****ing Cowgirls "war room".
Mr. Sinister
Dang, had no idea about any of this. Peace out Dilfer. The "QBQBQBQBQBQBQBQBQB" crap was nauseating, from several of their anchors. We got it the first time, QB 's rule the universe. Surprised to see Ed Werder in there, though
justice98
I'm surprised they let Dilfer go, if only because he just re-signed less than a year ago.
CRobi21
Stark one of the best baseball writers out there.. Yet Stephen A Smith keeps his gig.
StillUnknown
Ethan Strauss was one of the basketball writers i consistently checked for, hope he finds another platform for his work

It's all about being a sports TMZ these days. I'm sure most of their broadcast crews are safe but I wish they'd just end their Sunday night baseball contract. Who wants to be forced to watch a baseball game at 8pm instead of 1pm on a Sunday, with crappy commentary instead of your hometown team's broadcast crew? justice98
They do have a lot of superfluous, albeit talented (sometimes not) people. They dont need 500 ex-football players running around. And I'm still waiting for John Clayton to be useful.

@DCGoldPants
Like others have said. They want to be edgy....bring in viewers. Have shows where people who have big personalities can yell at each other. Thankfully we can queue up a box score and a few highlights on our phones without the opinion mixed in. Hersh
ESPN went the way of cable news while dishing out billions for TV rights. It isn't the least bit surprising that they aren't in great shape financially.

DM72
All these people losing their jobs and its just for show. Getting rid of a few mid level on-air personalities isn't going to help Disney/ESPN.
AlvinWaltonIsMyBoy
Roger Cossack?! Who's gonna break down all of the sports rape trials?! These mega-panels need to go anyway. I miss the old days of just the Blitz with Boomer and Tom Jackson. Did they really need anyone else? I like the SVP format. Simple and to the point. Spaceman Spiff
Tired of their human interest stories. Tired of seeing Sportscenter being interrupted with some heartbreaking story about some kid with a life threatening disease who gets to tag along with a big league ballplayer for a day. Sorry to sound callous, but show me some highlights, provide some analysis and shut up. And what the **** is up with the 6pm sportscenter? Stop mixing pop culture with sports! Like yesterday, I don't give a **** about Charlamange Tha God's new book or what his thoughts are on sports. Just go back to your roots and what made you great in the first place. It's gotten way outta hand.

Momma There Goes That Man
wow this is crazy. Those are some big names for the company. Why Kanell? He was a great SVP replacement on the radio. Must have been too critical of the SEC for the worldwide's liking. Strauss and Stark are also fantastic writers. Yet bumbling idiots like Golic can keep their job for 20 years and even bring get their sons high profile jobs too. smh
Busch1724
They should get rid of the CEOs who paid a billion dollars a year for the MNF package! You know cord cutting is a trend that won't be stopped...why make that offer?

I'm the opposite that's the only Sportscenter I watch if I have a choice. Sports is entertainment for me and I like it delivered in a way that's fun as opposed to a CNN news room. TNT inside the NBA is my favorite and it's even less professional.

It's basically the Skins signing Bruce Smith. Let someone else take on the bloated contract and get it on the cheap later.

Let someone else take on the bloated contract and get it on the cheap later. Sunday night football premiered in 2006 and ESPN took over MNF in 2005. When they signed the extension in 09, SNF wasn't the premier primetime football slot it is now. Besides, they got a ton of other NFL rights in that deal and potentially the chance for a Super Bowl. I don't think it was comparable to our Bruce Smith signing.
skinfan2k
actually if they had more guys like jayson stark i bet people would tune in. Their ratings are declining because of guys like stephen a smith. People want highlights and game analysis.
