DCsportsfan53
I was working late at the Cellphone Warehouse last night when I received this text from my wife: 'Honey, thespacebuttonisfaultyonthisphone. Whenyougethomepleasegivemeanalternative.' And as I eagerly rushed home, I couldn't help but wonder... What the hell does 'ternative' mean? :rotflmao: It took me a second to figure it out but when I did.....that made my ****ty afternoon much better. aamiha73
An amazing volley. Just one question though, is there a member from the red and yellow team playing on the pink team's side? It sure looks that way. That's probably the "Libero" position. Each team has the option to play one designated defensive player. There's specific rules for them. Can only play back row, not allowed to serve or block, among others. The different jersey color is to distinguish them from their teammates due to the specific rules for that position. SusqySkin
I refereed a girls JV game last week that featured a play with double self-ownage... Self ownage 1. Midway through the 3rd quarter, a girl gains control in her own backcourt, gets confused, and drives toward the wrong basket for a shot. Self ownage 2. A girl from the other team, apparently equally confused, fouls the girl as she shoots! I've had kids get confused and shoot - even score - at the wrong basket, but this is the first time I've ever had someone actually fouled while shooting at the wrong basket. Was the call a three point shot?

Dan T.
Was the call a three point shot? No, it wasn't. It's not a shooting foul if the player is shooting a the wrong basket. It's a common foul, and the ball is inbounded at the point closest to where the foul occured. Also, the ball becomes dead at the whistle, so even if the ball goes in the basket, no points are awarded to the other team.

Yes, the captain went off his charted course, got too close to the shore, and ran aground.
