The way we've drafted I'm going to assume this staff LOVES Cornelius Lucas.

Or they are on the phone with DJ Humphries.  The neglect of the LT position is giving me heartburn. Is OT the new LB?

But the people getting paid to do the same in Philly do like him that much. So, it's okay to assume that they are wrong?

The logic of the the whole "you have no right to an opinion" chorus.

Thank you.

Beyond tired of the “I trust our guy more than everyone else on planet earth because I think they’re probably right” is getting a bit tired.

Trust who you like, that’s fine. But other people are going to have opinions.

I like the pick, finally someone to support JD.  Did anyone even predict a TE lol.

Day 2 I did 🙋

This roster is starved for TE talent

WOW, still no OL.  Are we thinking Fisher at 67?

No real OT help is coming for Jayden this year.  Just the way it shook out.  Happens sometimes.

I see them running the ball a lot, calling a lot of quick hitters, designed roll outs and RPOs to try and keep the opposing D line off of Jayden.  Not sure if Jayden will have time to sit back and wait for the longer routes in the tree to develop as much as he will in future years.  The good thing is that AP values the lines.  He's well aware that Jayden needs help big time along the OLINE.  Maybe a project or two in the 3rd can develop into a future starter.  Not this year though, more than likely.

I don't get our obsession with DTs, but I see that Newton was rated fairly highly so can't hate too much on it.  Still, wasn't a need imo.

I hope he was BPA, but even with that I don't get it.

Ya I disagree on Lucas. I don’t think he’s a stud by any means. But serviceable.

RT is a revolving door.

Weird take, Wiley is bad so that is certain, what has Lucas done to give you confidence on a season long anchor at LT?  This ins't about the draft, draft is about BPA, its about FA and where they didn't move the cheese. FA was blown just like with Ron, maybe it was out of their hands (i.e., facilities suck, DC sucks, whatever).  Nonetheless a bad situation and there went Paul.

Edit:  I would take Kingsley.

Is Sinnot a better all around TE then Ja'Tavion Sanders?

Sanders can catch but not block. I think Peters just draft our version of George Kittle.

He's not even as good as Leno. Who was only servicable.

He also seemed to wear out after playing several games in a row last year. I think he's fine, but I have a lot of doubt he can hold up for 17 games.

I really wonder if they think there is something to Trent Scott.

This team just refuses to draft o linemen in the first few rounds

Since Trent Williams 4th in 2010 only 2 linemen have been picked in the top 2 rounds and 5 in the first 3 rounds

2023 Stromberg (3rd round)

2021 Cosmi (2nd round)

2018 Christian (3rd round)

2015 Scherff (1st round)
2014 Moses (3rd round)

Yet they draft scrub RB/DT/DB's (Amerson, Cravens, Mathis, Guice, Matt Jones  etc) in these rounds

Don’t disagree at all with the first part. But better than Wylie.

That isn't saying anything. We needed to vastly upgrade both RT and LT. and we did absolutely nothing. And then draft a QB @ 2 with nothing on the ends is a really good way to get him killed, and completely waste that pick, and the player.

I still have no idea why we did nothing in FA. I'm basically in shock.

I mean, we're idiots for wanting Drake Make, but Brian Daboll and Kevin O'Connell apparently coveted him badly, so...... are they idiots for not agreeing with Peters, too?
