I'm guessing that Washington didn't have any interest at even a 5th round pick, that would have freed up #2 to go WR or trade back for OL

Nobody had any interest in him. He's the last of the QBs traded and it was for a 6th rounder. He was given away for peanuts.

Right now Russell Wilson is in a dark candlelit room frantically tearing the needles out of his Sean Peyton voodoo Doll, and slowly inserting them deep into his brand new Mike Tomlin voodoo doll.

In case it wasn't posted earlier...Cowboys fans comments on free agency so far:

"Washington might have the best defense in the East. They are building around those big defensive tackles. Smart….."

"Quinn’s new GM has went out and got more help in 3 days than Quinn’s old GM did in 3 years."

"Wagner n Luvu make for the best LB group in the NFCE, and it ain't even close right now. Plus, if Chinn has anything left as a better Keasre it could get interesting."

"If the Commanders actually pick up a decent QB we're going to be playing patty cake with the giants in the basement."

"Ekler, Luvu, Wagner. They have knocked free agency out of the park with impact players and culture shifters."

"You could bet Quinn is happy to be far away from Jerry."

"No one gives a crap about wearing this dull star on their helmet anymore, but Crypt Keeper and Bozo think that'll be enough for players to sign here."

"all Washington needs is to swap with the Bears and get Caleb Williams and they might own this division for awhile."

"We really could've used Wagner last season, and had the assets to make it happen. Its infuriating that his former DC, OUR former DC has him on board already."

"Ok, this is the one that pisses me off ! To be able to bring in a MLB who could organize and teach all our incoming LBers - including Overshon. Would have been invaluable. More so even then Henry, who would have been perfect here, Wagner was my top FA. I'm mad !!!"

"Amazing considering we kept blaming Quinn for not wanting linebackers."

"I wanted Quinn as our HC. We're about to find out why."

"Dan Quinn continues to poach our guys"

"With the departure of Armstrong and Fowler we have lost the production of 27 sacks over the last two seasons. That’s not easy to replace."

"For those of you simping for the (Cowboys') FO. The order of operations is "Bring in Josh Jacobs, part with Aaron jones"; "Bring in Barkley, part with Swfit". Not "Lose Biadisz, lose Fowler, lose Armstrong, lose Pollard; resign a long-snapper"

"That DL in Washington is shaping up to be pretty good. They certainly lack a dominant EDGE player still, but have some nice pass rush specialist to go with a really strong DT unit."

"Our roster is getting picked clean. Thanks Dak."

"And now they just signed SS Jeremy Chinn....Commanders loading up. :banghead:"

We haven’t won anything yet…however this kind of stuff feels like a long, long overdue win by itself in a weird sort of way lol.

I agree, if they haven’t fixed the historically bad OL in the first 3 days of FA, the plan is doomed

I know....I know....I'm clearly triggered by o-line issues and perhaps have unrealistic expectations here.  Really don't want to see our rookie get shell shocked, would rather he sits for a year....or at least part of the year until we see what our new coaches and o-line additions have to offer.  There really isn't much juice left in FA market for tackles at this point, so its probably only getting fixed through the draft, trade, or finding a FA diamond that's off the radar.

That should end any speculation that the Bears are trading the #1 pick, unless the like another QB better than Caleb.

Not necessarily. They could still trade down to 2 or 3

Depends on how they view the QBs. Would they rather have Caleb straight up or JD/Maye + a boatload of picks. They have a limited amount of picks and didnt get **** for fields, with holes left to fill

I think there is a lot of cope going on now. They are going to take Caleb Williams. If they don’t it’s for one or two reasons: 1) His red flags checked out. 2) They liked another QB more.

If they like another QB more they better be sure they trade with us and only us and they’re sure who we’re taking.

Too much risk.

Is this real? Bears fans should riot.

I’m sure the Bears took the best offer. Is it their fault? Or are you saying they should not have traded him, if that was the best they could get?

If that was the best they could get he had way more value as a backup to Williams when they draft him #1.
