This guy just sided with the dumb seller. I think it's still an option and Bezos wasn't going to let Dan take the upper hand. This has to not only be an investment for someone, but a passion project to someone who wants to fix the crap that has damaged this team for 25 years. I don't think Bezos is the kind of person who wants a reclamation project, which is what this is. At this point I do believe that Snyder (granted its a guess) would take a Bezos bid if he got it. My gut is he's not just using Bezos to push Harris. To me the wildcard is would Bezos actually bid? Sheehan among others have said he believes the Harris group think they are already overpaying and are reluctant to overpay even more. If that's so, how would Bezos feel? I know some say Bezos would gladly overpay and overbid for this team. I am not saying they are wrong -- but I am saying its a complete unknown. it's a mystery. If what's holding this up is Dan really really really wants Bezos to bid and Bezos hasn't obliged. From one standpoint, if he intends to bid but wants to enjoy Dan flailing in the wind in the meantime -- that's cool with me -- but selfishly if he intends to bid, please do it soon -- the waiting sucks.
