Trump should be impeached but those expecting a removal from this impeachment, are dreaming.  Mitch won't even take up impeachment until Jan. 19.  The Dems don't have a majority until those 2 Georgina Senators are certified and Kamala takes oath.

Impeachment will be just to hold Trump accountable and ban him from future office; though, how that works not sure.  If he's not convicted, then can they still ban him from holding office in the future?

Lisa Murkowski is probably become a Democrat soon. She should switch now.

Consider the source, but some lawyers on tv have said impeachment, even with Senate conviction, does not prevent someone from later running for and holding office. A separate motion and vote are required to ban someone from later holding office. Though oddly enough apparently that only requires a majority not 2/3.

They should use Section 3 of the 14th amendment:

Quote

No Person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.
