NoCalMike Posted January 11, 2021 Share Posted January 11, 2021 We all knew this was how it was going to go once the smoke cleared. The GOP at large is still who they were 4 years ago. Sure, a handful of them are saying something different *now* but the majority of them are still looking at the 70 million who voted for Trump and are unwilling to ruffle their feathers short term and risk losing that gravy train for the 2022 election and beyond. Yeah they're looking at those 70M but are missing the 80+M that may be even more now that voted against Trump.  It's really a pity that politicians only cares about the next election and everything in between is just fairy dust... It will be interesting to see the turns of events for GOP. But right now I don't see how the GOP can remain united. Some will have to look for a new shelter.
