Parents, as you might imagine, were not happy to see him.

One dad grabbed the sign and threw it on the ground.

Mystery as inflatable Santa gunned downed in suspected drive-by shooting

A Kentucky resident is furious after his inflatable Santa decoration was downed in an apparent drive-by shooting.

Donald Nelson had just finished putting up Christmasdecorations outside his family home in Lexington days earlier –including a brand new $200 giant inflatable Father Christmas for the front yard.

Yet the family’s holiday cheer was suddenly deflated when they found the inflatable flat on the ground one evening with a large hole in it, WLEX reported.

Mr Nelson told the outlet that he and his wife had been sitting on the couch at around 8.15pm, when they heard a “small bang” outside.

When he went outside to investigate, he found saw his new Santa lying on the ground.

Culture Re-View: Krampus is coming - Have you been naughty?

Tonight is Krampusnacht (or Krampus Night) - the dark alternative to St Nicholas Day. Here’s why you should be very afraid.

Every year, on 5 December, is Krumpusnacht – or Krampus Night.

In central European popular legend - specifically in Germany - the half-goat, half-demon anthropomorphic figure is the anti-St. Nicolas, who punishes misbehaving children at Christmastime.

You see, tomorrow (6 December) is the St. Nicolas Day, when good old Nic rewards nice children with presents. The night before, however, all the naughty scamps get a visit from Krampus, who traditionally beats kids with branches or gifts them coal. In some cases, he eat them or take them to hell.
