those were stressful times. You had to keep your mixtape queued up at the right spot and have catlike reflexes when that song came on or else you miss the intro.

 

And then if your mom/dad called for you at the wrong moment, hours of patience could be lost in a single moment.

That's why I kept DC-101 playing quietly at night as a teen in the late70s,/early80s.  I caught the whole Van Halen interview after 'Women &Children First ".  

Eddie said "If you can't go out there in your boxer shorts with one white light bulb and knock em off their feet, you're nothing."

 

He was everything and more.  ❤
