I'm pretty sure he died a year or two ago.  Edit: Or did I make whatever mistake Skintime did and he's still alive?

 

I always loved him in Muppet Treasure Island.  Like Michael Kaine, he had a commanding presence that could keep up with the Muppets.

Those 2 deserved Oscars for their performances in the Muppet films. They were both legitimately at the top of their games in those films and made them great. I think both adaptations are the best ever done for those stories, and 75% of it in each film is those actors.
