MMQB: How Su'a Cravens fell apart..

Hardly as much discrepancy in diagnosis when joint/orthopedic injuries are involved, apples and oranges. Usually there's a common ground of concern but a variance to the injury. This was more black and white, concussion and no concussion.

Not really 'oh look, Dr. Andrews found a torn ACL, you guys were wrong'. Not even close

I have no spite to Cravens, the team hasn't been good in too long to even care. He's just a little beach

Sure there's variance.  It's just for some reason, an athlete seeing a specialist about something more easily diagnosed, such as a knee, is not considered egregious.  If it was so 'black & white', why can't our team doctors be trusted to diagnose and treat a knee?

The Browns could've pulled the same effery with Josh Gordon.  But instead, they supported the guy in seeking help with his addiction issues.  There's no clear cut way to diagnose that either, but I'm not hearing a narrative anywhere else about him faking symptoms to avoid training camp.

According to the article, Cravens met with Gruden no less than three times, and as early as January 2017, letting him know he was considering retirement and wasn't feeling right.  Each time, the coach's answer was a variation 'you'll be alright' or 'how else will you make money?'.  It took him talking to his cousin in order to get a path forward.  Then in order for the team to support it, he felt he had to, once again, threaten retirement.  Maybe you don't see a problem with that, but I think much of this could have been avoided had the team then (back in January) recommended him to a specialist and not ignored his attempts to reach out, or diminished his feelings.

It's spite.  It's definitely not being objective.  31 other teams (and their fan bases) don't care about assigning blame to how this played out.  But here you are, hell bent on assigned blame to yet another former Redskins employee, when the same story has played out time and time again for this team.  And the common thread?  It isn't Su'a Cravens...

I actually think @Koolblue13 nailed it with his physical health = Sad, mental health = ****

Think Ryan Clark not playing a playoff game in Denver.  He was physically cleared to play - but a Dr said "However - with your condition -playing in the thin air in Denver could result in major issues.  Everyone agreed.  No one called him a quitter.

Su'a Cravens had some mental issues -Diagnosed by 2 Dr's.  But he was physically cleared to play -so F him! Hes a quitter.

Ive said it before in this thread - Despite what people say when they say the believe Mental illness is real - We still treat mental illness as a fake issue that "Strong and Tough people" dont get.

Didn't Clark want to play but wasn't allowed to?

No...although, it's closer to a pita which is a sandwhich..but a taco is an awesomeness all it's own, so it shouldnt be lumped in with sandwiches

What's the difference between a sub roll and a hot dog roll, and why can one be used as part of a sandwich while the other can't?

A sammich is best as a ham sammich.  Truth.

So limited...a sandwich can be artwork....not just the hotel artwork that Subway claims...but true artistry...from the amazing deli sandwiches of NYC to the true craft sandwhich artisan.

And yet you say ham.....you didn't even include cheese...I bet your favorite beer is Natty light too...isn't it

Silly. You're talking sandwiches while I'm dealing sammiches. Whole notha level.  You're playing checkers while sammiches play chess.

Is it the season yet? ??

I think you have that backwards...you're playing tic tac toe, while I'm playing 3D chess.

I notice you didn't dispute the Natty Light...

I miss the days when threads like this would have been rightfully turned into a debate about why a wrap is NOT a sandwich

You mother ****ing son of a ****. You wanna go down that road again?  :ols:

People on the internets.

The age old question of "Is a hotdog a sandwich?" and then the universal opinion that a sub is a sandwich (see all the fast food places like Potbelly's, Subways, Jimmy Johns, etc).

Of course that's a sandwich.

People who make those claims are from the south, Midwest, west coast and any other place that's not NY, NJ or Philly, which makes them sandwich stupid and unable to make authoritative sandwich claims on the intersandwichwebs.

I heard someone once claim that burgers are not sandwiches. Are the peasantry really that uneducated these days? A piece of meat placed between two pieces of bread is a sandwich. It is SANDWICHED BETWEEN THE BREADS.

However all sandwiches in Asia - specifically China - are called burgers, even those without hamburger on them! Yes, a chicken sandwich is called a burger! A fish sandwich is called a burger! A pork sandwich is called a burger!

In the Caribbean most fruit is an apple.

I can go with that. It's acknowledging our introduction of sandwiches to their culture by naming everything after our food! :P

So if I ask for apple juice in the Caribbean, someone might give me lemon juice instead? Yuck.

Let's not even talk about food in China...I asked for beef, and found out that pretty much means any part of the cow...at least I think it was a cow

No. Fruit. Not juice.

What are people's thoughts on open faced sandwiches?  It's not between two slices of bread, but it's still called a sandwich.  Is that because we don't have a good name (that I've seen) for this type of food presentation, or is it actually still a sandwich?

You pick it up and eat it with your hands?
