I love when the offenders are the ones telling others not to judge them. Why is it the guilty are always the ones complaining about being condemned? You'll lose track trying to count how many passages speak about knowing them by their works, fruit etc. Calling an apple tree an apple tree is not against Christian teaching. So feel free to try and sell that amateur Bible scholar crap somewhere else. 1

What's that say about the religion?

No Excuses
Quote One of Lucas' church members, Dianne Cook, 69, said she agrees with the message on her church sign, and with her pastor. She said Trump was right to criticize the four Democratic congresswomen, who include the first two Muslim women elected to Congress. "Where'd their parents come from? Are they Americans?" Cook asked. "Just because she was born in America does not make her American." "Doesn't it?" I asked. "Doesn't it legally, though, under the Constitution?" "Under the Constitution, yes," Cook acknowledged, then paused. "But I don't know how to express that, to make you understand that I wish she, I wish they, well — I don't want any Muslims in America." https://www.npr.org/2019/08/12/749410060/in-virginia-2-churches-feel-the-aftermath-of-trumps-racist-rhetoric?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_term=nprnews&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=npr Quote During the service, he mentioned the recent mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, that left 22 people dead. But afterward, he said he doesn't believe news reports that the white shooter was targeting Latinos. Lucas also said he does not believe analyses suggesting that undocumented immigrants are less likely to commit violent crimes than others living in the United States. "We're not racist, but here's a laundry list of racist and bigoted beliefs that we have, no matter the evidence presented right in front of us". 1 1

Spaceman Spiff
You all need to watch that new Netflix docu-series, "The Family." I wrote it in the tv series thread, but that was probably the wrong place. That series is like catnip for you guys. It's got Trump (4th episode). It's got Christianity. It's got secret societies. It's got some homoerotic kinda stuff. It's got conservatives and liberals praising Jesus. So, ya know...I thought of you guys. Cooked Crack
*White evangelicals Quote Interviews with 50 evangelical Christians in three battleground states — Florida, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — help explain why. In conversation, evangelical voters paint the portrait of the Trump they see: a president who acts like a bully but is fighting for them. A president who sees America like they do, a menacing place where white Christians feel mocked and threatened for their beliefs. A president who’s against abortion and gay rights and who has the economy humming to boot.

There is hardly anyone in the GOP tent who any decent person would want to associate themselves with. Every sensible conservative I know in the DMV left the GOP in 2016. My only Trumpian contacts are now family members who I have to reluctantly mingle with at family gatherings. 1
