Sounds like those fans that like to cite the Hayneswrth or Deion signings. Forgetting that the past 5 years we were far from aggressive in FA.

It hasn't been the 'strategy of Snyder' every year to sign the biggest FA. Fact is, our cap has been managed as good as any teams, if not some of the best in the league. But, you have to focus on now and the need for the team. Can't be scared to sign a big FA if its the right move just because we made mistakes in the past.

Signing the big FA has never put the Redskins over the top.  Josh Norman is one example.  Suh is not the answer.  He’s not.

Josh Norman is the best CB we've had in 15 years and is a great building piece and appropriate allocation of cap %. Again, by saying 'X' has never worked, you limit the result of 'Y' by adopting it as law

As far as the draft, statistical indications are that finding quality players there is as much a numbers game as anything else.  A mediocre talent guy with two fourths has as good a chance to get a decent player as a good talent guy with just 1. Our team, especially our defense, seemed to disintegrate because we finally just ran out of depth.  Given the fact that a defense these days seems to have at least 15 guys who may get at least 50% of the snaps if there are no injuries, our injury history and the cap along with the fact that even quality backup guys are getting starter money, you need a lot of quality guys on their rookie deals. You then spend your cap on 6 core guys you can build around.

I agree that he’s among the best with Champ and Springs. What he does for the team is tremendously undervalued. After the rib injury he clearly played worse, but up until that point he had been pretty tough to beat and was causing strip fumbles left and right.

for cap reasons, especially prior to losing Fuller and Bree, I was okay with trading or releasing him because of the strength of the CB unit and his cost.

I still think we need a plan to move away from Norman if the team thinks his contract will be prohibitive moving forward.

But his contribution should be much more widely appreciated.

Suh makes this team so much better instantly. A 4 year deal with low year 1 and dropping the Mc twins next year makes it cost effective. It's a safe investment and can put them in the 10 win category with added hits in the draft.

Really? I'm surprised you've made it this far in life.

I'm just trying to help and you insult me?  I'm not running to the mods or anything, I was just letting you know in case you didn't.  If you want to carry on with an avatar that sexualizes a child, that is on your conscience.

You mean Christina Lucci, the pornstar? Yeah, I'm cool with it.

My point was just that we weren’t a Josh Norman away from competing (for championships).  We also aren’t a Suh away either.
