Well, he’s running statewide, so he is effectively sharing it with every other Democrat on the ballot in Texas. If Beto can drive turnout for himself, that helps every Dem US House candidate and statehouse candidates. Plus, I wouldnt share either. His donors donated to HIM. It would be a big bait and switch for him to give that money away. He also has roughly the same chance of winning, based on polling, that Trump did 2 years ago. He dove head first into Trump rhetoric, told about 100 lies, leaned heavily on fearmongering, and firmly aligned himself with the unpopular tax cuts. Solid outing for him.
