On Breitbart and Gateway Pundit there are a bunch of MAGAs saying Trump needs to figure out a way (national emergency, insurrection act, etc) to shut down and then take over Twitter.

 

MAGAs: "NO COMMUNISM! NO SOCIALISM! WE DON'T WANT TO BE LIKE VENEZUELA!"

 

Also MAGAs: "TRUMP'S GOVERNMENT MUST TAKE OVER SOCIAL MEDIA SO THEY CAN CONTROL IT!"

It's a good thing he's going to Parler. If 95% of the people on there are traitors, it makes their tracking easier. Feds won't have to sift through cat videos & worthless memes as there will be plenty of posts to keep the entire national security offices busy. I see an increase in employment opportunities...

For what it’s worth my family in Latin America that have seen dictators rise and fall, think the attack on the Capitol building was a failed coup attempt.  That failure to act now will only make it certain that future attempts will be made.

What I took from that "Ayatollah" stuff is how sad it is that a religious fanatic leader from a 3rd world country can figure out how to navigate Twitter's Terms of Service, but the President of the United States can't.

I don’t know about Twitter but companies like Google have no issue providing the Chinese with tools to further their oppression.  There’s definitely a point to be made about tech company hypocrisy.  
 

That said, I’m happy to know Trump is freaking out about this.

Yeah it's not overall a bad point wrt those social media companies giving platforms to ****ty people. But it's still amusing that those bad people could figure out how to not get banned from Twitter and Trump couldn't (not for lack of trying).
