I was born in Lycoming County, PA, my whole family was hunters and fishermen. I recognize the importance of all the above. What's concerning to me is the new Interior cabinet member is now talking about and considering opening public lands to the fossil fuels industry. For example, when my brother had his heart attack, he didn't have an advanced directive. I talking to my SIL and she said he said that if there was a chance to do what could be done. So she did what she thought best by transferring him from a local hospital to Richmond CCU. They tried some pretty radical procedures. But he had initially coded twice in the ambulance. They didn't do any brain scans to check his activity. One week before he died, I knew that his organs were failing because he was jaundiced. So he lingered for two weeks before we ended his suffering, and he passed really quickly. I talked to the doctors every time I visited, and could never get a straight answer from them as to the prognosis, they just kept saying that they were trying everything.
