Just rode out the band that just went over Memphis in my camper.Ā  That was fun.Ā  Bad time to realize you haven't charged your emergency radio in a while.Ā  My arms are tired from winding that thing up.

Obviously you never painted a sub tender.Ā  Twice.

Possible EF-4/5 near Jonesboro, Arkansas right now.

Ā

This little threat tonight, already over performing.Ā  I'm under a slight risk.

It moved fast, we're getting the tail end of it here now like crazy.Ā

I've gotta go to work.Ā  Thunder and lightning makes me wanna sleep...it drowns out the traffic noise.

Ā

Utterly astonishing the southeastern US gets pummeled with these storms.

Ā

Literally develop in to big storms just east of me, seemingly every system.

Ā

Wind gusts up to 30 mph, cloudy...but nothing.

There's a quick shot for a supercell to develop in or around Tulsa tomorrow.Ā  Potential for an EF-5.Ā  Doesn't look like it would travel for hundreds of miles, but the threat is right here.

Looks like tonight we might actually might see something happen.Ā

Yep, that last weather system dudded out like I can't believe.Ā  An ef-0, maybe an ef-1 in far eastern Oklahoma?

Ā

So many supercells, but they stretched out...they were all missing a piece of the puzzle.Ā  Poor downdraft, poor cape...whatever it was.Ā  They were ready to go insane, but simply couldn't put it all together.

Ā

Now we have a multi day threat.Ā  Southeastern Kansas looks like the main target when it starts.Ā  Where I'm at in Oklahoma has a moderate risk.

Ā

I'm freaked to heck about how overdue we are.

I'm off today. Thought about chasing. Looks like it will be chasing me.

Ā

I've got 2 plans.Ā  One is to hunker down in my bathroom with all the stuff I've prepared (heavy clothing on, helmet, mattress, backpack on with emergency items).

Ā

The other is to drive out of the way if time permits, and depending on traffic.Ā  Unfortunately, it looks like a lot of this will happen during rush hour.
