DC9
CSNMA working for game! Blacked out all day but gametime it magically worked. Center Ice blacks out Caps cause this is home market. Go to a bar, brother.
DC9
I'm noticing that the Caps are inviting a lot of dump and chase. McPhee hated that because Mike Green got hurt so much... Trotz don't give a ****.
RonArtest15
Been about 5 years since I've seen a Caps defenseman step up to make a hit. Don't care about his Pittsburgh ties or the money he's making...welcome to DC, Brooks!

Popeman38
Go to a bar, brother. It's working. And the closest sports bar to the 4x4 area of OBX is a 90 min drive.
RonArtest15
Abso-friggen-lutely. His play has been my favorite part of this game. This Caps squad is physical as hell. I ****ing love it.
DC9
Pinching on the boards in the defensive zone. Inviting dump and chase. For the most part, smooth, smart, and patient exits. Using boards to pass. I love the heavy game. Would like another goal, though.

DC9
Every shot this period has come off the rush. Need to establish a forecheck.
Hersh
OK, so I missed the first two periods...Kuznetsov has been on the ice 6 minutes?
Forehead
I don't care if he won or lost (video looked pretty even), the Irish in me loves the fact that we have a fighter named Liam O'Brien.
RonArtest15
Oh, Tyler Sloan....and if I remember correctly, he got his *** kicked by Rene Bourque right after. Prelude to what happened to Matt Hendricks "retribution" fight 3-4 years later LOLOLOL. Alright...Caps are flat right now. Gotta generate some offense, obviously. DC9
OK, so I missed the first two periods...Kuznetsov has been on the ice 6 minutes? Half of that is on the PP, too. How the **** did Holtby let that in!?! NO GOAL! I regress!

And Sloan didn't fight back, instead giving us a nine minute powerplay. edit: looked it up and you were right about Bourque, but the point still stands that he didn't fight back. DC9
So far 1 point. Would like to see more of a forecheck, especially from the 3rd and 4th lines in to cycle. This is a well coached team. A lot to like so far. Let's get this win please.
PokerPacker
That would've been a goal if we had a righty on the right side there /Oates
DC9
Good fight by the Caps. Love the fight. My twitter feed is blowing up with Red Wings vs Bruins. Saturday is going to be a slobberknocker. Is it just me or does Holtby always take about a week or two to get his lines right?

Popeman38
Holtby looked WAY better tonight than he did to start last season. If he gets better from here, look out.
RichmondRedskin88
Dominate most of the game then lose.... Sounds about right.
Hersh
This could be what we see all season. Good defense and not much offense without the PP working. Kuznetsov can't be on the 4th line if he isn't going to play. He will head back overseas if this is his role under Trotz which seems like a huge waste. pjfootballer
We had a great first and faded throughout the game. I'll take the point because we should've lost in regulation. You should get the 2 points at home with them tired from the night before. Still need to tighten up the odd rushes. Does anyone besides me not like Hillen and think he's too small? You should get the 2 points at home with them tired from the night before. Still need to tighten up the odd rushes. Does anyone besides me not like Hillen and think he's too small? I thought Hillen played well. That slide he made was perfect position. This could be what we see all season. Good defense and not much offense without the PP working. Kuznetsov can't be on the 4th line if he isn't going to play. He will head back overseas if this is his role under Trotz which seems like a huge waste. We weren't interested in a forecheck. We kept shooting on the rush. Pull up and cycle the puck every now and then. Very end to end in the last period but we begged for it. Coachable. Some small details and this is an elite team in my opinion. I really like what I saw tonight, but definitely agree with pj, needed to win this one with them playing last night.
