Charge your phones.

Lol, you ain't lying. Guess our power went out around 1:30am or so. My phone was charging, ended up dying as a result. Also serves as my alarm clock so thank God the tree fell next to the house at around 7:30am and sounded like a bomb had been dropped. Probably would still be sleeping now and minutes away from being fired.

So no chatter about tomorrow? NWS has Loudoun and western Fairfax in their 4-6in range. Definitely bullish with this storm.

And a potential storm worth following for next weekend too.

It appears CWG does not think it will be that big, but the NWS thinks we may be in for a bit of snow.  Winter Storm Watches are already up....

NWS nailed this past storm, I overshot it. They said 1-2 inches with up to 1/4 inch of ice. I said 3 inches of snow with a 15 hour power outage. Looks like the power went out, but didn't stay out for that long.

NWS says up to 5 for Tuesday's storm, that's cool. I'll say 3-4 for Rockville.

This mix on the ground ain't going to melt much. More snow and a cold week coming up....

What does it look like for Southern Maryland?

Souther MD will be on the lighter side, but should still get 1-2 in.

The lastest GFS has the bulleye right over DCA putting down .6.-7 QPF, which would be 6-7 inches or more. It depends on the ratios. I have been hearing 15:1 to 20:1 ratios being talked about. Things might get crazy around here if the EURO trends the way the GFS/NAM has.

Damn was hoping for a little more down here since we were left out yesterday. Hopefully it tracks a little more South.

Dayum, I'm right in the center of the 4-6 range. Sweet!

I'm just barely in there...hopefully another nice event.

If the school system is smart they'll roll out a delay early and then close if necessary.  I hate when they try to be gutsy and send us to school for a mid-day storm, then have to backpedal, close early, and it takes hours to get home anyway.  (Or nowadays, get my daughter from daycare.)

So do I understand things right that a .6 QPF with a 20:1 ratio would be a foot of snow?  I mean, I know you're not saying that we'll get a foot, but is that what those numbers mean?
