bulldog Posted September 9, 2012 Share Posted September 9, 2012 The Redskins may be talking to Chris Cooley this week but the likely choice to flip roster spots, Jordan Bernstine, was hurt today and will go on IR. In addition, Madieu Williams' ill-timed hit on Jimmy Graham may result in a suspension as well as an expected fine from Goodell. So with Meriweather out another couple of weeks, the Redskins may be pressed to sign a veteran safety unless Cedric Griffin perhaps can slide over. One is out for the next 1-3 weeks, another suffered a major leg injury today. Reed Doughty is currently our 3rd safety. We don't have a healthy 4th safety on the team. I expect a small fine, nothing big for him. As far as another safety, Melvin Bullitt, and Bob Sanders .. I know Bob doesn't stay healthy long, but we only need him until Merriweather comes back. I was very surprised there was no flag on that one as it was helmet to helmet on a defenseless receiver like the ones that williams did to the Saints players.
