  1. So ya, I guess Chris Thompson could see more of the field (if he stays healthy).
  2. Iron Bru is not for me. I was surprised at the taste of it. I was expecting a dark cola because of the name.
  3. Watched him on the Browns Hard Knocks. Seems like a good dude. Glad for him.
  4. No, because all of the people that will be picked are basically guys that are good now/potential for down the road. No super stars on the team. I think there are reasonably more than 5 I'd want to keep. I actually think our specialists are completely fine, maybe Hopkins the exception. My keepers would be: Allen Io Payne Settle Sweat Holcomb Moreau McLaurin Steven Simms Harmon Quinn Sundberg Way Hopkins Roullier Maybes: Guice Love Haskins Scherff Wes Martin
  5. It feels like this team doesn't have much fight. It seems like this has crept in sooner than it has in most seasons. A lot of times we'd be fairly incompetent but showed some form of fire, at least early on in the year. That seemed to just leave the building at half time of the Eagles game and I haven't seen much since then. I think that's what makes this team seem so bad. I think there is some talent. I know we often over value our own, but still I think there is some form of talent. But mentality? Doesn't seem to be there. I thought this team would go 5-11. Having a roug
  6. Bury out of the football league and facing liquidation. Bolton possibly to follow. Shambolic.
  7. Losing record and the Hall of Fame. Probably first ballot.
  8. It's a big county (especially from north/south). The roads in the mountains generally dictate how the county goes. Plus the county has always had a pretty cautious approach to precipitation.
  9. For anyone who might want to follow the rest of the English Football League there's a podcast called "Not the Top 20" that is worth a listen.
  10. I feel like Press has been a striker in waiting forever. And I've read a lot of people have wanted Ashlynn Harris to start over Naeher for a while now.
  11. Recently ran across Dusty Slay and think he's good.
  12. Justin Edinburgh passing away recently is such a shame. I was following along with Leyton Orient's campaign this year and he seemed like a genuinely kind bloke. RIP to him and condolences to his friends, family and Orient.
  13. Good run by Liverpool. No bottling involved in my opinion, just one of those things that happens (inexplicably). I mean only 1 loss and still not winning the title? That's ridiculous.
  14. Yep. She's really good. Also add Ron Funches and Theo Von.
  15. Blackburn in 8th. Three points off the playoffs and in form right now. Could do with some defensive cover, but I don't know if it's going to happen. Mowbray's been very shrewd with his signings but I just don't know how much more cash the club has. My guess is not much.
  16. This is from Pro Football Doc. He thinks there's a good possibility Smith will be ready for the start of the 2019 season. He also says: "Even though Monday's revelations [spiral fracture] make Smith’s injury seem worse than initially reported, it really should not be seen that way. Any injury of this magnitude makes it potentially career threatening, but I am confident Smith can play again if he chooses." https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/profootballdoc/sd-sp-pfd-alex-smith-leg-fracture-rehab-redskins-1120-story.html
  17. Isn't the question, then, when hasn't democracy been under assault?
  18. Phil Jones was really good for Blackburn. Just hasn't really fulfilled his potential at United.
  19. Word is that new Burnley keeper Joe Hart got a run out with the the U23s against Blackburn and promptly got walloped 1-5.
  20. Well, 3-0 over Everton in preseason. Good result, hope to continue that into the regular season.
  21. Hey, look at that...Liverpool at Ewood Park. Here's to no injuries and a good tune up in preseason.
