    The Own3d Thread.(Keep it clean)

It's a big county (especially from north/south). The roads in the mountains generally dictate how the county goes. Plus the county has always had a pretty cautious approach to precipitation.

For anyone who might want to follow the rest of the English Football League there's a podcast called "Not the Top 20" that is worth a listen.

    Redskins' what ifs. . .

What if Gibbs 2.0 never hired Al Saunders.

I feel like Press has been a striker in waiting forever. And I've read a lot of people have wanted Ashlynn Harris to start over Naeher for a while now.

Recently ran across Dusty Slay and think he's good.

Justin Edinburgh passing away recently is such a shame. I was following along with Leyton Orient's campaign this year and he seemed like a genuinely kind bloke. RIP to him and condolences to his friends, family and Orient.

Good run by Liverpool. No bottling involved in my opinion, just one of those things that happens (inexplicably). I mean only 1 loss and still not winning the title? That's ridiculous.

Yep. She's really good. Also add Ron Funches and Theo Von.

Blackburn in 8th. Three points off the playoffs and in form right now. Could do with some defensive cover, but I don't know if it's going to happen. Mowbray's been very shrewd with his signings but I just don't know how much more cash the club has. My guess is not much.

    Kingdom Come: Deliverance

It started strong but I felt like mid/late game it just went full grind. The story is intriguing, but some things just didn't seem fully thought through or finished. I don't know if it has been updated as I haven't looked at it in probably 9-10 months now.

    The Morning After thread

I'm generally pretty forgiving. I've thought Jay was a decent enough coach. I think he's got a good personality to fit into the mess that the front office/ownership situation. He tends to handle things with grace, which I think is admirable. We've been an average team for the most part which I think has been an upgrade over some of the stuff in the past. We've shown signs of grit at times. But none of it is consistent. Some of it is due to the injuries, I know. But we never look prepared. We never seem to try to exploit the other team's weakness. We shouldn't be running with only 2 quarterbacks on the roster total (no one even on the practice squad?). So now we're in a situation going forward that every healthy quarterback on the roster will not know the playbook. That's inexcusable. Sanchez looked ok in hurry up, but we slowed the tempo down again after the half (we never have hurry up). Adrian Peterson has a 90 yard run and barely gets a crack at a run again, attempting to run with Thompson instead who isn't an inside runner and just back from injury? Unprepared. And it's enough. Sorry for my scatter brained rant...

Breaking: Redskins claim Reuben Foster NFL.COM

Peterson was put on that list. Wasn't it created after the Ray Rice incident? It's not that old.

    Alex Smith Actual Status

This is from Pro Football Doc. He thinks there's a good possibility Smith will be ready for the start of the 2019 season. He also says: "Even though Monday's revelations [spiral fracture] make Smith’s injury seem worse than initially reported, it really should not be seen that way. Any injury of this magnitude makes it potentially career threatening, but I am confident Smith can play again if he chooses." https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/profootballdoc/sd-sp-pfd-alex-smith-leg-fracture-rehab-redskins-1120-story.html

An assault on American democracy is underway

Isn't the question, then, when hasn't democracy been under assault?
