NoCalMike
Yep, it's another one of those games against a bad team that the 'Skins can never seem to win regardless of who the coach, qb, rb, etc etc seems to be for our squad. The Lions are coming off a bye week, and should be rested and ready with extra time to prepare for this game. I wouldn't call this a trap game, because the 'Skins are not good enough to be fooled into any type of trap game, however I would call this upcoming game a lot bigger and more important than a lot would think. If we win, 5-3 going into bye week, if we lose 4-4. A MNF showdown with Philly @ home is on the horizon, and I really hope no one is distracted. The fact that we have a bye week before that should keep any thoughts of Philly out of the players' heads. Again, I am not saying the 'Skins are just so over the top good that Detroit should be looked at as an automatic win. Not by a long shot, however I will say point blank the Skins are a BETTER team than Detroit and SHOULD win this game. Will this team finally win a game that can help turn a corner for this franchise, or will they come up lame and keep our team on the ropes again.... :helmet:
skinfan2k
I think this team has a sour taste from last year losing to these losers. If the defense avoids playing zone coverage, i think we should win.
thebluefood
There is no such thing as an "easy win" for the Redskins.

Mr. Sinister
Dude, I'm honestly more nervous about this game then I was about the Bears game. This team is so helter skelter, from quarter to quarter. Hopefully we can get some more turnovers in this game, I think we're gonna need them. Soup
I don't know what it is to tell you the truth, this team seems flat when they play against teams like the lions. But, you have to give the lions some credit, they are much better than their record indicates and I hope the skins don't take them lightly because the lions are capable of winning the game easily. Chase M
Out of all the games we've played ths year, next week is the one I'm most nervous about. Detroit is a GOOD team. IMO better than the Bears even tho their record doesn't support that arguement. It just depends on what offense will show up.

MusicCitySkin
I hope our team has smelled the coffee on the teams we "should" beat. All the losses last year and the huge disappointment against the Rams this year. They need to play hard as if the bye week is an award for winning. Mr. Sinister
All I know is we'd better be prepared to score over 20 points next week. The Lions offense is a lot better then the Bears pass happy 3 ring circus. Best should be pretty healthy now, and that, coupled with the fact that Stafford is coming back, plus Calvin Johnson, definitely has me a little worried. SittingBull
This normally is a trap game but im not worried with this one. First the team remembers the embarassment from last year. Second with the bye following the game the team can empty the tank knowing they'll have a break. They also want to go into that break positively. Johns Bass
Detroit's offense is much more explosive than the Bears - the Lions can put points on the board. Hopefully the Skins got the dropsies out of their system this week else it will be a long day in Rock City. I think this will be a tougher game than today's was. Backpack3r
Yeah the Lions are definitely no pushover, it is going to be a tough game, and unfortunately, it is probably going to go down to the wire in that one. Lol I would love if we beat a team by 10 pts

Larry
I think that any Skins player who so much as implies that we've got this next game won, needs to watch some film of today's game.
