From realgm:

Over Jason Kidd's 7-year peak starting at age 24, he averaged on a per 100 possession basis:
21.1 points
13.1 assists
9.1 rebounds
2.8 steals
0.4 blocks
4.6 turnovers
.504 TS%

John Wall, at age 24, is currently averaging on a per 100 possession basis:
25.3 points
14.7 assists
6.8 rebounds
3.2 steals
1.2 blocks
5.7 turnovers
.524 TS%

So Wall is pulling down 2 fewer rebounds and committing one more turnover, but he is scoring a lot more with a higher TS% while also getting more assists, steals and blocks.

Ariza has brought the defense to Houston. They are s very difficult team to deal with both on the perimeter and the inside. He isn't mailing it in, and is still shooting pretty well.

No question, but his 3PT% is down 7 points, or close to 20%.

The John Wall Effect.

Nice writeup from Aldridge today on NBA.com.

Skin'emAlive is right. Ariza is a good dude. No need to tear him down to hype Wall.

All you got to do is link someone to Rasual Butler's wiki and basketball-reference pages. The man is 35 years old, was the goddamn D League "Impact Player of the Year" (whatever the **** that is) for the Tulsa 66ers (whatever the **** a 66er is) two years ago, is the 15th man on the team, made the team a week before the season started and he's shooting the 3 150 points above his career average (.515 vs .365). The John Wall Effect.

Just put that **** on his plaque in Springfield now

Atlanta just refuses to help us out and lose.

What's their deal anyway? They legit? Haven't seen them all year. ****, not even sure the last YEAR I saw them. Has Horford gotten THAT much better? Where's he rank amongst league centers now? Is Paul Millsap THAT good? Is Korver? Is Buldenholzer beating it up as coach? Was Danny Ferry able to get all the Africans off the team before he went on vacation?

Atlanta has a group of solid players with three fringe All Stars in Teague, Millsap, and Horford. Millsap made a watered down team last season where the front court was pretty thing.

Their coach is excellent and their bench is good now. They're not a five or six man team any more. That's been the biggest key to their improvement IMO.

Horford is declining but he's still a good player. Good defender, good inside scorer, good screener, good rebounder, and solid with the jumper. He doesn't take anything off the table when he plays. But his minutes and usage are dropping and he's as big a health risk as Nene is.

They have pretty good front court depth. Mike Muscala and Pero Antic are pretty good. Their group of guards is good. Korver is a one trick pony but he's the best catch and shoot three point threat in the league. They're a good shooting team.

But all that said, they're not legit IMO. They are classic overachievers. Good coaching plus a solid roster with depth will carry you far in the regular season. Especially in the weaker conference.

Their schedule has been as soft and home heavy as ours has.

And they're lacking in top end talent. That'll show up in the playoffs, where the difference in quality of each team's top 8 gets magnified. Our best players are more talented than theirs. And most of our key role players are of higher quality than theirs.

They're a lesser team than both us and Toronto.

ATL is an excellent offensive team for regular season play. When teams run out at them in the playoffs they will probably falter. Teague may be the 2nd or 3rd best pg in the wast right now. He is legit. Milsap is better then any big we have. Horford isn't playing to his standards, but if he does, it kind of shifts the paradigm. Think he is still wary of banging down low cause of his pec tears. They also have a better coach.

They aren't very deep however, that could wear on em come playoff time.

Beal needs to round into form and then we can make real distance from em, cause right now Korver is an absolute monster floor spacer.

Atlanta has had an easier schedule than we have.
