Hubbs
Wait. You're not really making the claim that Fox's conservative bias is simply a money-making strategy? Actually, that's exactly what it is. What Fox did was positively brilliant. They came along and said, "Everyone else is liberal! ABC, CNN, NBC, CBS... all of them! We're the only network that gives you 'fair and balanced' reporting!" Regardless of who you think is more fair, more balanced, more accurate, more truthful, or more honest, it's a simple fact that Fox drew a line down the middle of America's viewers and let all the other networks fight over one half while the other half had only Fox to watch. Instant big ratings. Instant big revenues.
r3dsk1ns4L1fe
So you really really really really really want to believe that over half the country (that disapprove of his job as President) aren't racists, but you just can't? It is unpossible to believe that perhaps we just want to stop spending trillions of dollars (now, will turn into tens of trillions when govt creep takes hold) we don't have? And we all wonder why people can't control their finances. The govt can't control their finances, and they get paid to do so. since when do birthers and tea baggers constitute anywhere near half of the country? you must get your demographics from fox news, where rallies of about 5000 people are rounded up to 100,
r3dsk1ns4L1fe
At 22 you have a lot of living to do to be able to accurately assess the MO of political combatants. This has been going on for centuries. Put the race card away and use it for when it might really matter. hmmm well there isn't much to assess when political combatants make their MO known. obama is a non-citizen socialist (or is it communist?) muslim who wants our country to fail. don't forget about low taxes and less government intrusion. unless of course, metaphorically speaking; there is a huge oil spill in the gulf coast or perhaps when it comes to handling the illegal immigration problem in hmmm lets say arizona? and please don't give me that race card bull****. race shouldn't even be an issue anymore but unfortunately you still have gun totin billy out in the middle of ****ing nowhere who still thinks its "cool" to be racist. I'm well aware that gasbags like Limbaugh were pretty much failures at broadcasting until they "found" conservatism and victimhood as a career. But there's plenty of true believers at Fox, both staff and management.
AsburySkinsFan
Yeah but Sarah is branded a dingbat because of 2 very bad interviews. Yeah, because that's all we saw of the Wild Alaskan Dingbat...yup two interviews...yup we all made up our mind on those two interviews and we never heard another word she ever said...well other than the two words when she said, "I resign." I'm just curious what color you painted the sky in your make believe world.

mardi gras skin
Say what you want but he's right. Palin wasn't known as being a moron because of two interviews. Palin and Obama were not ready to run. Both needed more political seasoning and resume. Palin and Biden are equally ridiculous. Biden is at least seasoned...but I feel like Biden should at least know better before he opens his ridiculous mouth. McCain is a boring political insider, who, for some stupid reason, tried to make himself out to be a maverick. He's not. He's as big an insider as there is in the Senate. Of the 4, I would have prefered McCain as President and Biden as the VP. Obama and Palin are B team. I don't mind that Palin and Biden say stupid things as much as I mind that Palin and Obama weren't ready to run for office.

mcsluggo
And guess what, the tea party movement DOESNT CARE. Talk now, but we will see in November. HUGE losses for the D's coming. this is true. However, i think it is a bit blind to give very much credit for that fact to the tp. the economy is in the crapper (the world economy, fwiw). that breeds anger and uncertainty. the incumbent party suffers. hello Ronald Reagan 1982. teh tea party is just a convenient place for the media to focus on when trying to conceptualize and visualize general enui that is gripping the country. imho, the gop would make huge gains in the fall with or without the tp help, but the fact that the tp and rinos are ending up driving a fair portion of the agenda (and driving the gop to the right) means that the return pendulum swing for the gop will be harder than it should have to be. Americans don't like extremists, and as much as the tp (here on ES and everywhere) like to try to paint obama as an extremist, he plainly is not. The same cannot be said about some of the rino/tp driven candidates.

People who don't love attention don't make it to the state legislature, much less to the Presidency. In fact, they probably don't make it to the City Council.
