Mickalino
Sounds like a guilty conscience. I did not say anything of the sort. Well obviously you didn't say it. But it was clearly implied.
boobiemiles
You know what, for all the crying and bs, Barack is not that bad. Look, we haven't had a domestic terrorsit attack, and no worthless wars are being declared? When is this wha wha stuff going to stop? Forget Sarah Palin, the real issue is, would people be as critical about Barack if he was a white male? All these articles, tea parties, the anti-christ Black Panther party, all this nonesense. Where was this passion when Bush was blowing smoke up our butts about the WMD? Is it Palin, barack, or our perception of what suppose to be? Kilmer17
"we haven't had a domestic terrorsit attack" Whew, better tell the families of the 12 soldiers killed by a muslim extremist at Ft Hood that their loved ones are still alive.
boobiemiles
Or maybe the fact that the liberal media took a quote from Tina Fey and attributed it ad nauseum to Sarah Palin without ever correcting it? That seems like the status quo now a days. It seems the media has lost journalistic integrity. But that is accross the board.
MEANDWARF
LOL@ anyone claiming the "Jeremiah Wright" story was deflected. Come on, that was running on 24 hour news-cycles on every network when the story first hit. Just because some networks covered it non stop for two days instead of 2 weeks, doesn't mean it was deflected, it means it was reported on and then was moved on from. Those whom just reported it for 2 days may have wanted it to be buried so it won't hurt Obama. Just saying.

The Evil Genius
I will ask this again - since some people are off chasing windmills (or liberal boogeymen). Is it really shocking though that a small coalition of progressive journalists that have progressive ideas share them with other progressive idea'd journalists? Kilmer17
400 members is not small. And some of those admit and embrace their obvious liberal leanings, others pretend to be nopartisan. If it wasnt a big deal, why did they shut it down?

At 22 you have a lot of living to do to be able to accurately assess the MO of political combatants. This has been going on for centuries. Put the race card away and use it for when it might really matter.

I’ll delete the group soon after this post goes live. That’s not because Journolist was a bad idea, or anyone on it did anything wrong. It was a wonderful, chaotic, educational discussion. I’m proud of having started it, grateful to have participated in it, and I have no doubt that someone else will reform it, with many of the same members, and keep it going. Hopefully, it will lose some of its mystique in the process, and be understood more for what it is: One of many e-mail lists where people talk about things they’re interested in. But insofar as the current version of Journolist has seen its archives become a weapon, and insofar as people’s careers are now at stake, it has to die. So you really really really really really want to believe that over half the country (that disapprove of his job as President) aren't racists, but you just can't? It is unpossible to believe that perhaps we just want to stop spending trillions of dollars (now, will turn into tens of trillions when govt creep takes hold) we don't have? And we all wonder why people can't control their finances. The govt can't control their finances, and they get paid to do so.

Of course, to be fair, most of those same people didn't have a problem with Dubya spending unfunded trillions of dollars. But, I suspect, you knew that. Coalition? Journalism used to be a competitive industry. Not one where people formed "coalitions" for the advancement of certain political views. TMK9973
I find it so funny that the same party that preaches things like personal responsibility (When they argue against welfare, food stamps, government handouts, etc...) and wants free market - no matter what happens (Which - BTW - I'm for all that) constantly blame the boogeyman of the liberal media whenever their side loses or looks bad.... It's the one you constantly defend by pointing at imaginary boogymen. I do? I've fully admitted to Fox's bias. I watch it occasionally as a counter-weight to the other stuff that's out there. I've never made any bones about the fact that Fox leans right. What I HAVE done, is criticized those who try to dismiss legitimate points as being "FAUX News spoonfed." And I will continue to do that. Oh, and your statement that they're the only news organization that does that is patently false. If you want to say "network or cable station" it becomes a little more true. But if you want to include all "news organizations," you're beyond wrong.
