Timmy Smith
Anthony Alridge suddenly gets a lot more interesting, now with Shanahan here, eh? If I remember right from the preseason, Shanahan once called Alridge the fastest player with a football he'd ever seen (paraphrasing from memory). KDawg
Seems to me like Bruce is just protecting these guys for now to see if Shanny wants to keep them around. If not, it's not tough to cut a futures contract

HA1LV1CT0RY
I had a feeling that Shanahan, Allen, and some of the other coachers were reviewing the player evaluations while Shanahans contract is being written up. Seems like he is excited to get things rolling!

Liked what I saw from him in the preseason, we desperately need a change of pace back. If you watch highlights of Alridge in college, dude had some sick speed. I really want to see what he can do for us as a 3rd down back catching passes out of the backfield.
