Predicto
Go to your manufacturer site and get the updated keyboard driver. Your system is misreading regular typing as short cuts. I just solved that problem myself. Also, do you use a mouse? If so, you might want to disable the touchpad whenever there is a mouse in operation. There is a way to do that in Windows7. styx491
Predicto, how do you disable the touchpad with a connected mouse? I've been trying to figure that out for months and its the ONLY issue I have with my laptop and 7. I feel like it's an easy fix but I can't find anything. Down on your system tray on the bottom of your screen, there is an icon for your touchpad (some of the icons are hidden but you can expand and find it) Right click on it Go to pointing device properties. Its in there somewhere (depends on your system what it is called). Mine says "disable Touchpad/Stick when a USB pointing device is present". Windows7Guy
Hello KevinthePRF, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/w7itpro/ . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads available there for additional assistance and support. Always A Commander Never A Captain
Seriously, that was pretty sick, awesome, and scary at the same time by Microsoft. TheGoodBits
My only issue with Windows 7 is the stupid way they've got the program tabs (or whatever they're called) set up. If you have two or more Word documents open while researching something on the internet, you can't just click on the Word tab to bring that back up on screen. You have to hover over the tab, then select which one you wanted. When doing a project for several hours at a time and having to jump back and forth between programs every minute or so it can get really annoying. Previous Windows had a separate tab for each window open. This was a downgrade imo. There might be a way to change it, I just haven't figured it out yet.
