Its cool when the opposing team deserves to be let known how they are doing by that point of the game. Please tell me what the "O!" has to do with the Redskins and football. Nothing. It's enough already. Probably the same people that keep their hats on during the National Anthem. THAT is as disrespectful as it gets. I did cringe, however, when they played the "HEY! You suck!" chant when we were down 13-7. That was pretty stupid. Now its like every time there is a penalty on the opposing team. Its like they're making an attempt to single that player out and tell them they suck. But who the **** are we to say "you suck" when we're losing? I think they played it when the Rams were in the redzone about to score and were beating us. They were the winless team that was beating us. People say that this is a stupid topic and we should talk about other more important issues, but its not stupid at all. This makes our fanbase look stupid and immature. The timing of this chear has been absolutely rediculous. It has really bothered me this year and someone needs to do something about it. The chant has no significant history with the Skins, as it's only been done at Skins games for the last few years. It was never done at RFK. The chant has no history with the Caps or Bullets/Wizards either, so saying it's a DC thing is just foolish. It is a Terps thing that the Skins have been borrowing. And it's stupid. We get lit up by the Super Bowl champs, and we're chanting that they suck? If that doesn't embarrass you as a Skins fan, then nothing will. You're also wrong to say this thread fails. While I agree that the "Hey! you suck" chant should be reserved for game scenarios where it actually applies, comments about the "O" from other Skins fans have always bugged me. I am a die hard Skins and Orioles fan...and as much as some people try to deny it, this is one of the more common sports fan bases in the baltimore/washington/N. virginia area. I am 28, so I did not really know the Colts. I grew up loving the Orioles and adopting the Skins and on top of that,the Ravens did not come to Baltimore until i was in High school. Not to go on a rant, but I dont see what is "retarded" with representing the 2 teams that you live and die for. Yelling the "0" at football, baseball, college games is a what I know. It is not disrespectful and to compare it with not taking your hat off is a ridiculous comparison. I think people who want to find something to complain about should focus on the people who left with 10 plus minutes left yesterday, or didnt show up because it was raining...or don't show up to work every monday with a sore throat from yelling their head off every defensive down. It's laughable that our team sucks at home and we're only adding fuel to the fire in motivating the opposition by playing that stupid ****ing song. Fed Ex sucks and the ring of fame that exists at Fed Ex is a joke. If I were a former player, I wouldn't want to be affiliated with a stadium that exists solely for opposing fans to be able to enjoy a road win by watching their favorite team kick our ass on a consistent basis. Put the stadium in D.C., play music like HTTR before the kickoffs, and design a stadium that will truly give the Skins home field advantage. It's coming b/c I can guarantee that Snyder will be scrambling after this year to get asses in the seats.
