#1Redskins
Great speeches from all inducted today, but especially for Darrell Green and Art Monk! It was a beautiful day seeing all the faithful Redskin fans attend Canton to see two of our own make it...... Had to wipe a few tears on the Monk speech!:point2sky
J3553
why should inductees have to tailor their speeches for the crowd? nobody's saying they should. i'm just saying i don't understand it. that's all.
Major Harris
art and darrell have done a lot of amazing things through the years, buy they may have topped themselves tonight...they got rincewind to visit the stadium forum.
Larry Brown #43
Both, but because of the wait... Today, was Art's day more than any other and the passion and energy was just higher for Art. We all love Darrell too, but there had been so much pent up frustration for Art... that this was an outpouring of love and relief. Exactly how I feel. LD0506
I second that OS, anyone that considers themselves to be a Skins fan that wasn't moved by that doesn't really understand what it means

Beauty is Only
I thought Monk's speech was awesome, but I'm surprised he didn't mention Gibbs....green barely mentioned Gibbs. Both speeches were great, but a bit too much God talk. Mr. Monk understands why he is now in the Hall of Fame and why he was given this opportunity. God has allowed it to happen. Mr. Monk was only giving credit where credit was due. ldysknzfn1
Awesome speeches. Every one of them were good. I was so happy listening to Art and Darrell giving honor to God. All of those men were honorable and humble. I enjoyed every moment..and the 3 minute ovation for Art was just incredible!
LD0506
Both Art and Darrell deserve credit for not only giving credit to their faith but living in the manner in which they do. You could see it in their sons, in their families, these are two phenomenally good men, not merely good football players.

Obibyn23
I swear some people are just down right hilarious... To much God talk... Not enough Gibbs talk... How about next time you write THEIR speeches for them... Both speeches were great, and both speeches portrayed both players perfectly. These speeches weren't made with your wishes and demands in mind... Case in point..the poster below me...

J3553
GREAT speech by Art... even if it was a little preachy. Major Harris is correct - they're allowed to thank whoever they want, its their day. I'm about non-religious as they come and even I think Art's speech was amazing. i agree... it was almost a religious experience watching him... haha. i think it was the first time i saw him say more than a few sentences. OriginalWhizzinator
I LOVED seeing them get in, two of my favorite skins ever. Two stand up guys, who were amazing players. Both lost me with all the religious stuff, but whatever...its about what molded them and was important to them. So im really happy for #81 and #28, two of the finest football players to ever play the game!

Oldskool
Better question would be, who didn't? Fred Dean got me going and the only real let down was mashing Zimmerman between Green and Monk.

If some of you want to get up there and talk about how you're an atheist, then do it. Just earn the right first.
