    2019 Comprehensive Draft Thread

Gonna revisit my list from a month back, still like Harry at WR, first round is now the the wildcard of Edge or maybe QB. Rosen still in the mix for a day two pick. Like my choice of OL and DB still, think Long and Burr-Kirven bring value it their respective slots, especially after we got Foster getting a free pass from the league, Hardman and Moreau also day three value. Stidham, well that's a reach but maybe day three now..would still be happy if we drafted two QBs and dumped McCoy, or Keenum I guess.

Lol what do the nats have against winning series openers? They’ve been 1-6 in series openers and 6-1 in series finales this season. Also they must really love .500, cause they’ve been 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6, 7-7, 8-8, 9-9, and now 10-10 they had this same problem last year too

That’s a great observation, but I think it often doesn’t apply to Day 1/2 picks, where most teams have done extensive due diligence on the top 30-50 players regardless of whether they’ve brought them in for visits. What gives this theory additional credence is that virtually none of the top “likely available” prospects that the experts expect to be available for our pick at 15 (Burns, Bush, Hockenson, Ferrell etc...) have been brought in for visits. However, I firmly believe that if the right ‘faller’ lands at #15 (be it Hockenson or White or Bush or Burns) that this F.O. will take them, whether they have visited or not, and regardless of which side of the ball they play. Conversely, part of me hopes that you are correct in the sense that this team could really use an infusion of offensive talent at places like WR, LG, QB, TE, as long as those guys are BPA rather than need picks. We’ll see!

    Starting QB 2019???

For negotiation purposes it would be pretty irresponsible if the Skins said they "loved" Rosen instead of "liked" him. Once another team knows that you're in love with the player the asking price is bound to be a little higher. Kind of like what the Rams did to us in the RGlll trade.

  12. This scenario kind of puts us in a bad spot. This is why I want Rosen because I feel like this team CAN win 8 to 10 games and we would have him waiting in the wings. If we dont get him, we will be in a very unfavorable position to draft a QB next year. Unless Keenum turns into an actual good QB, hes probably not the guy and just a stop-gap. No way this team wins 3 games lol, too much talent on defense.

Interesting article, looking at all 52 overall #1 picks, and rating from best to worst. This is the take I got from it... Of the Top 10 best overall #1's, not a single one was drafted in this millennium. Which almost makes it seem like, as a league, they're declining in their ability to draft. It's just an observation, and something to think about. So, I'm by no means, saying that that's a truth. Because there's probably other factors involved. Just included the Top 10. 17. Jalen Ramsey isnt close to the player Mack is, I hope you're joking. The asking price would be too high and it most definitely wouldn't be worth it. A CB doesnt impact the game like a pass rusher can, that's why the Raiders got the return they did for Mack. This would be a Dan Snyder type of move

    Starting QB 2019???

My current guess is we like Lock. Watch the draft come to us. Maybe jump to say 9 with the Bills to get him. Rosen is the fall back. Could be way off base, no chance anyone can call this right now. Pretty intriguing to be fair.

Presidential Election 2020 - ManChild vs Adult

I've said I don't think the Mueller report and Impeachment, should that happen; really changes the needle on the Presidential Election. Those supporting Trump are still voting for him. Those against Trump, are voting against him. Those people who didn't vote in 2016 but did before that or people who never vote; aren't really going to be motivated to come out and vote because of the Mueller report or if it happens, impeachment. There is a possibility that impeachment does affect the Presidential race after all. While impeachment really doesn't move the needle for the general election; it is possible impeachment changes the entire calculus of the Democratic primary. I think every candidate running will probably support impeachment, if it happens. PocaLizzy has already called for it. Think Mayor Pete has said go for it also. Trump is going use that impeachment. See the Dems tried to undo the 2016 election with the fake Russia probe. They just impeached me, trying to remove your president from office. Vote for me, to prevent those treason traitors from taking your presidency. The Dem candidate is going to have to effectively defend why Trump was impeached and show why that was the right course of action. They are going to show why, Trump must be defeated. Trump is going to use that to beat the Dems to death. He's going to try to make that the entire focus of the campaign, along with the socialism angle. Out of the main contenders- Bernie, Pete, Beto, Joe, Kamala and Elizabeth; which one is the best to do that? I don't see anyone else as a legit contender. I think Bernie, Joe and Kamala can. He's already made Elizabeth look like a fool, so I think, she would just be ignored. I'm not sure Pete can. I think this definitely rules out fluffy Beto. While I feel this country will not vote in a Socialist, Bernie; Bernie definitely can contrast Trump on the corruption angle. I think Kamala's expereince as CA attorney general helps her. I think Joe is one who can credibly hit Trump back. That 8 years of being Vice PResident, helps him. What hurts him, is that he's not really in tune with the Dems today and his past haunts him.
  20. Quick summarize for @goskins10 and everyone to keep up to date: 236: Kavontae Turpin, WR/KR, TCU for Seahawks 237: Chase Hansen, ILB, Utah for Broncos 238: Rodney Anderson, RB, Oklahoma for Raiders 239: Natrez Patrick, LB, Georgia for Raiders 240: Sutton Smith, Edge, Northern Illinois for Colts 241: Alexander Mattison, RB, Boise State for Jaguars 242: Malik Gant, S, Marshall for Chargers 243: Ashton Dulin, WR, Malone for Steelers Which leaves it at 11 picks left in this Mock. Great job all, except @Owls0325 This place definately lacked boobs this year... Some of you should stop evaluating prospects and focus on what's important...

Yea, I think i compared him to our old kick returner, Brandon Banks. But after watching some of his tape, I think i undersold it. This guy has Devin Hester-like speed and vision, and is alot stronger than his size suggests.
