d0ublestr0ker0ll
Oh man, another year, another winter weather thread. These always turn out to be emotional rollercoasters. Hope to see a good blizzard this year, but for now, low 80s with a breeze works just fine.

Skins24
 Sounds horrible. Missing out on the nice fallweather. It's not that bad. Before this week we've only hit 80 like once since the 14th of Sept. And after Sunday or Monday we'll be back to awesome fall weather for the foreseeable future. d0ublestr0ker0ll
Not winter weather, but the cold front we've been anticipating is hitting right now in the D.C. area. Raining steadily, temps will reach a high of 60 later this week. Goodbye warm weather.
Skins24
So, the models are going nuts. Any one else remember Veteran's Day '87?  Yeah....that kind of nuts.
mikered30
I just checked the models, seems a bit crazy and I give it very little of a chance of happening.
pjfootballer
64 and sunny here in Charlotte. Temps going down this weekend.
Skins24
I just checked the models, seems a bit crazy and I give it very little of a chance of happening. Thing is, weather is weird. With the Veteran's Day snowstorm, it was in the 60s the day before... Â That being said, the latest GFS is crazy. Not going to put much stock in that (unless that remains consistent.) But the potential for something other than rain to fall is certainly there.
Ellis
Always one of my favorite threads to visit this time of year... Â For those of us who do not know how to read GFS models... what is occurring at this time that has potential?
Skins24
Always one of my favorite threads to visit this time of year...  For those of us who do not know how to read GFS models... what is occurring at this time that has potential? Strong arctic front comes down, low reaches the coast, gains strength, kids get an extra day off school...  That's the potential. Reality many times doesn't exactly line up, so we'll see.
d0ublestr0ker0ll
One of the best threads in ES history was the Winter Weather thread the year we got blasted by 2 blizzards. Hype was crazy, just like it always is more than a week out, but those two actually hit and the anticipation was rampant on here. Snow Hogan was runnin' wild brother. Snow Hogan was runnin' wild brother.  2009-10 was epic indeed. Hell of a thread. I felt so lucky to be home for winter break back in Dec. 2009 for the first blizzard. And then last February we got 24.9 inches up here in Boston and a foot of snow the first week of March. Hell of a run the last few years.  What was especially great was after the first two historic storms, we had to come back in and say guess what, we might get a foot of snow in less than a week. People were like my God, again?!
