I just hate being distracted. Usually we are all talking here and there with the game In the background

Im like a rabid hyena during games. People trying to talk to me/approach me  are likely to lose a hand.

Im the same way. I can't stand watching games with other people ESPECIALLY when so many aren't even really fans. This past Thanksgiving we ate really early and I just went home to watch the game in peace.

QFT.  I'm super stressed out during games, and there's nothing more annoying than people getting together to "watch the game" that just want to sit around and chat casually and I can't hear the commentators.  Now that I think about it, I don't even rewlly enjoy watching Redskins games LOL.  Probably one of the most stressful things in my life.   :rofl89:

I prefer to be alone while watching the B&G, but chatting with ES family in the gameday thread.

This was me too. My wife found it unacceptable. Can't say it was the main reason but it started down the path of not following skins/sports as much.

I despise watching games at bars. I don't mind watching with my family though, they know football and we only talk during commercials.

That's how I grew up with my parents. Unless you're cheering or something like that, stfu and watch. My mom was adamant about it.

I hear ya.  Once I got my current job (15 years ago) and was actually off Thanksgiving day and the Friday after (holidays at my office) we were to the point where we wanted to spend it in our home and not travel back home.  For years we would cook up a ton of food and our friends would come over throughout the day and it would be an all day party.

As everyone got older, friends started getting married, kids being born, etc., it turned into us having over my parents or her mom and sister every year (we would alternate).  Now it's lunch with my MIL, SIL and BIL every year, which is cool cause me and my BIL hang out the entire time and we put on the game or play PS4, etc.

They usually have to leave after lunch around 3 pm to get back so my BIL and SIL can spend time with his grandmother back home.  So the only game on during lunch is the Lions game.  I'll put it on the TV during lunch to so me and the BIL can keep up with it.

That's because you haven't watched a game with me out at a bar, while getting smashed of course.  Seriously though, just going out to the bar by myself to watch a game would be annoying, because half the people don't know football, it's crowded, etc.

But, I do enjoy meeting up with my friends at a bar to watch a game from time to time, no different than watching it at one of our houses.  Now that the man cave is complete with three TVs, beer fridge and a dual tap kegerator............yeah, going to the bar on game day will be for carry out wings to bring back lol

^ Top 10 hip hop album all time.

I asked my doctor about a vasectomy yesterday. He was like nah bro don't do it. Then he gave me some Viagra to **** around with. Never taken anything like that in my life. Had performance anxiety for the first time in forever the other day. That is so wack.

Gee, why wouldn't your doctor support your efforts to be responsible for your own reproductive responsibility? From your post asking about birth control for men, I am assuming that you don't want to father (another) child. I don't know if you have any now.

I think that you were responsible if you asked about it, and good for you.

I wanted to get a tubal ligation when I was 23, right after my abortion, but the doctor said I was too young and what about my non-existent husband? I knew I didn't want children and I couldn't take birth control methods. I got pregnant using an IUD, which caused scarring so I doctors told me it was unlikely for me to get pregnant anyway. I got pregnant again when I was 25 but didn't know it until too late to have an abortion, so I have my daughter. I was trying to be proactive about my reproductive responsibility but was interfered with by the medical industry.

I did end up with a tubal ligation when my daughter was 3, and I was still single, otherwise in Virginia my husband would have to have given his permission.

This in, 1981, I didn't have agency over my own body if I had a husband.

And people question why women want bodily autonomy.

Kosher, did your fiance have to sign a paper?

On fridays we copypasta Bruce Springsteen lyrics

In the day we sweat it out on the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through the mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway nine,
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected, and steppin' out over the line
H-Oh, Baby this town rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while we're young
`Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run

That's just insane, especially given that tube tying is reversible.

I've never wanted kids, yet even through my mid-30s people kept insisting I would change my mind when I got older.

I know the feeling. I have never even considered having kids or dating a woman that wanted kids.

We got married and both of us...had that thought of... maybe. I am an old man...well maybe.

I guess I do have to stop drinking beer.

I feel the same way about pets. Just limits my lifestyle or costs me money.

Thank you. I think it was due to my age (34) and being single that he dissuaded me. I don't have any kids and might want some in the future. We were talking about possible side effects and he mentioned very painful swollen testicles (ouch). He also said the procedure is reversible but the longer you wait the less chance it will be effective.

Basically he said keep wearing condoms and I should be fine haha. I've been having sex with a girl who is not on birth control because she hates the side effects so I'm slightly paranoid. Been over a year though and nothing yet! Thank you Trojan lol.

Sorry for the Super personal post but hey, that's what this thread is for! About to eat some pupusas.
