There have been some pretty good games recently. Toronto gets a big opening night W. Phaneuf with a SNIPE. Northeastern opened up last night with a tie. Tied it at 3-3 with 2 seconds left in the 3rd period. The oldest ice rink in the world (101 years) exploded. Couldn't hear myself think.

I saw Varly had a shutout for the Avalanche. Anyone see that game? Was it great goaltending or mostly good team defense?

I heard that he wasn't really challenged that much but made one really nice save that people on another Caps forum were talking about.

Crossing my fingers that there will be a big realignment in the next few years that puts the Caps in a division with Pittsburgh, Philly, and NYR.

What a win. haven't seen highlights yet, just got home from work.

WTF is up with individual ticket prices. They raised tickets $15-$60 for non season ticket holders!!!! Thank God for stub hub (never thought i'd say that)

Flyers lose again 4-2 to the Blues. Didn't see much of the game (Penn State is on TV at same time).

Funny how you get excited about a 3-0 start for a team that hasn't won a Cup since around the same time the Caps came into existence but Caps fans are supposed to restrain themselves from being excited about a 7-0 start (after beating your team as well) because we've never won a Cup...? Hmm....

Can someone explain to me how they keep track of Time on Ice? Is it electronic and if it is, how does it work? I've always wondered how they keep track of that.
