House of the Dragon

The whole dragon sequence was dumb they just wanted something cool to end the show on. The audience has to guess why she didn't just burn them. Best guess is that kinslaying is a big taboo in Westeros and even if she did Aegon still has a son who they'd try to put on the throne. They'd have been better if she just took another exit instead of teasing us.

Wow episode was fan f'ing tastic!  Loved it!

Finale is going to be awesome.  I will probably skip SNF next week to watch it.  Steelers/Dolphins doesn't sound too interesting anyways lol.

On another note...

Spoiler

When the king was dying, did he REALLY say he wanted Aegon to be the king?  It was hard to hear what he was saying and how he said it was a bit odd as well.  And why the change of heart if he did, or was he just speaking jibberish since he was dying?

No, he was delirious and thought he was talking to Rhaeneyra about the prophecy and Aegon the Conqueror's dream (prince who was promised).

Yeah I read about it a little while ago and that makes a lot of sense.  I will admit I was still nice and tipsy from being at the Commanders game earlier that day so I didn't put it all together.

I mean we didn’t see her toasted body so we will see if she pops up again. But I wasn’t sad seeing her condo in flames

Oh I didn't even realize who's place that was.

So much **** to keep track of in this show that it's so easy to get lost.

yeah most of this show happened in the red keep but once the war starts and the show expands I think they should go back to a map style intro. This condo being on fire is a microcosm of that issue. We saw that balcony for like 2 seconds 3 episodes ago, hardly anything to make us realize it was Mysaria’s place.

I had thought it was the older blonde chick (one who flew off on the dragon) room she had been staying in that she was locked into, because the knight came and secretly escorted her out, I thought he knew they were going to kill her.  Assumed that they burnt her room down thinking she was still in there and couldn't get out.  But yeah, it did look like it was in the main city so I was a bit confused, and the CGI on the larger shots of the city are pretty bad so thought maybe it was chalked up to that lol.

Dude, she was trying to save the kids from the fighting pits.  She’s honorable and deserves better.  :P

I don’t think she’s dead.

I think this is understandable. I believe this is a result of the massive time jumps and not spending time with possibly important characters.

Spoiler

Also, Ser Cole rips the face off of some fella and gets promoted to the Queens sworn shield and then gets promoted to Lord Commander after the murderous event of Lord Beesbury. The Princess must have really rocked his world over that one night stand to hold a 20 year grudge.

Ok fair enough, her character can survive with scarred and permanently damaged vocal cords. If she speaks, we riot

The accent is horrendous.  How anybody thought that would be a good idea is beyond me.

It's a pity we are going to have to wait another 18 months (at least) for season 2.

As soon as she sent them kids, I was like we never going to see them again. So far 1/2 in that prediction. Still like the series but just not attached to most of these characters. Little Luke getting eaten did not really move me. In GOT we were with Ned the whole season so when he got his head chopped off it really meant something.

the first season has taken place across 10-15 years so the rest of the series takes place across just 2 years. We will be with this cast for the rest of the way so time to get more attached to them.

still hurt seeing that timid scared kid just devoured like that
