Die Hard Posted March 21, 2022 Share Posted March 21, 2022 Looks like my Bruins will be eliminated this Friday. Although UCLA is a higher seed…Tar Heels are rolling. The team has always been pretty predictable. But their performance this season… shouldn’t be over-looked. Another solid season in the books. Need another game-breaker like Love or Ball… but the 5-stars are hard to get in Pauley these days… and I’m not sure Cronin, while a very good coach, as a defensive specialist is a draw. Yes, Gonzaga blew some easy looks, but the refs missed an easy out of bounds call that led to a three and there were three weak calls against Holmgren. #1 and #10 for Arkansas are ballers though. #5 had a great game too. High anxiety for sure. Oh and I'm still not over the 1994 loss to Arkansas. Scotty Thurman, Corliss Williamson, Oliver Miller. That was a fantastic team. But Hill almost carried Duke past them. I watched a number of their games earlier in the year and they never felt like they played cohesive basketball. They’d also get frustrated and off their game easily. But watching how they closed out Michigan State and Texas Tech in the last three minutes of each game, that’s as impressive as anything I’ve seen in this tournament so far. We (NMSU) lost our coach already, to Mississippi State, for nine times the salary we were paying him.
