If Peters, Quinn, Kingsburry and Harris actually want to draft Daniels and it's entirely Daniels and his agent that don't want to come here the worst thing we could do as an organization is pass on drafting him. We would never be respected by agents or other teams in our future dealings if we gave in. Everyone would think we are weak and will eventually buckle if put under sufficient pressure. The interviews were mostly all brainteaser, and for the in-person round, they did a "stress interview" where I worked thru a brain teaser in real time while the two hiring managers carried on an obviously staged conversation about how one guy's teenage daughter snuck out of the house and got in a bunch of trouble and they started discussing how he was going to punish her lol. I did well on all the quant questions but then they asked me what I would do if I didn't get the internship, and instead of saying something about being passionate about finance and doing something related, I said go work in Hollywood or sports... needless to say I didn't get the gig lol. Are you suggesting we should institute a draft system where players are allowed to override the team that chooses them? Who would ever agree to be be drafted by a losing team or a team in a city you didn't want to live in because of the weather, or the economics or any of a thousand other reasons. The draft itself couldn't exist without teams ability to freely acquire any player eligible regardless of that players wishes. Come on you know all of this better than I do.
