Beto isn't going to win. Just not a good environment for Dems and the Texas electorate will be full of more crazies than 2018.

It's because Beto is too much of a godless progressive socialist communist fascist to win over Swing Voters. If only the Dems could run a normal, sane, Moderate candidate like Rick Perry or Ted Cruz, then maybe we could expect those enlightened souls to not vote straight Republican for a change, but alas it was not to be.

What a POS.  This is the kind of candidate the GOP regularly puts forth for elections nowadays.

Ex-wife accuses top Missouri GOP Senate candidate of abuse

ormer Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, now a leading Republican Senate candidate, was physically abusive and demonstrated such “unstable and coercive behavior” that steps were taken to limit his access to firearms, according to new allegations from his ex-wife revealed in court records on Monday.

The sworn affidavit from Sheena Greitens is part of an ongoing child custody dispute in Missouri. A public affairs professor at the University of Texas, she sought divorce from Eric Greitens after a sex scandal which led to his resignation as governor in June 2018. She’s now asking the court to move the custody case to Austin in part to spare her children from renewed public attention as Eric Greitens tries to mount a political comeback.

Eric Greitens’ campaign did not immediately comment Monday. An attorney for Greitens couldn’t be reached for comment. The allegations could complicate his bid to emerge from Missouri’s Aug. 2 primary as the GOP nominee and potentially jeopardize his party’s chance to hold onto a key Senate seat in the general election.

In the affidavit, Sheena Greitens casts her ex-husband as someone who threatened to use his political connections and influence in order to destroy her reputation to win custody of the children.

“Prior to our divorce, during an argument in late April 2018, Eric knocked me down and confiscated my cell phone, wallet and keys so that I was unable to call for help or extricate myself and our children from our home,” Sheena Greitens wrote in the filing. “I became afraid for my safety and that of our children at our home,” later adding that his “behavior included physical violence toward our children, such as cuffing our then-3-year-old son across the face at the dinner table in front of me and yanking him around by his hair.”

Sarah Palin is running for Congress to fight “namby-pamby wussy-p***y stuff”

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) announced that she is running for the U.S. House from the state of Alaska, and she said that she’s getting back into politics to fight the “namby pamby wussy **** stuff” that she says is causing a “mess” in the country now.

Palin ran for vice president in 2008 on an anti-LGBTQ platform with the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). At the time, she told voters that she had a gay friend while she backed constitutional amendments both in Alaska and at the federal level to prohibit same-sex couples from marrying. She also said that “homosexuality” is “a choice.”

Talking to Fox News’s Sean Hannity, Palin compared herself to Donald Trump, saying that both she and Trump have “nothing to lose” as well as “cajones.”

“I’m going to throw my hat in the ring because we need people that have cajones,” she said. “We need people, like Donald Trump, who have nothing to lose, like me.”

“We got nothing to lose and no more of this vanilla milquetoast namby-pamby wussy **** stuff that’s been going on , that’s why our country is in the mess that we’re in.”

NJ-3 GOP candidate Ian Smith charged with DUI

A Republican congressional candidate in New Jersey’s 3rd district was arrested on charges that he was driving under the influence early Sunday morning after refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

Ian A. Smith, the owner of the Atlis Gym and an outspoken critic of Gov. Phil Murphy, is running for the GOP nod to take on Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) in the fall.

Cinnaminson police officer Harry Cicale issued six summonses to Smith, including reckless and careless driving,  after stopping the Republican House candidate on Route 130 North near Andover Road.

A campaign spokesman, Steve Kush, said Smith’s truck swerved in high winds and that he passed a field sobriety test.

“The cop wasn’t satisfied and put cuffs on him,” Kush said.  “Ian will have his day in court.  Everyone will find out Ian wasn’t drunk driving.”

Smith is scheduled to appear in Cinnaminson Municipal Court on April 14.

Kush said Smith refused the breathalyzer test out of fear that Cicale, a former standout Cinnaminson High School baseball player, might be trying to set him up.

“Ian doesn’t have much trust of the government after the persecution he’s received by the governor over the last two years,” Kush stated.

Smith attracted national prominence for refusing to follow Murphy’s business closures and mask mandates during early months of the coronavirus pandemic, becoming   the public face of opposition to Murphy’s mandate to close fitness centers in March 2020, reopening his business in May 2020 in defiance of the state before Department of Health officials shut it down.

‘The baggage is too heavy’: GOP foes tee up last-ditch effort to sink Herschel Walker

Herschel Walker, the former football star who’s armed with former President Donald Trump’s enthusiastic endorsement, has been on a glide path to the GOP nomination since announcing his Senate bid in Georgia. Not a dime has been spent attacking him on television.

That’s about to change dramatically.

In the eight weeks running up to the May 24 primary, two super PACs supporting Walker’s GOP rivals plan to drop millions of dollars in ads attacking Walker, according to people familiar with their spending plans — ad buys that stand to alter the shape of a race that could decide control of the Senate.

Walker is still expected to finish first in the primary. But his opponents intend to drive his support under 50 percent and force him into a June runoff, when the second-place finisher will be able to focus attention on what many Georgia Republicans contend is Walker’s unique vulnerability to Democratic attack: his history of alleged domestic abuse.

Michigan's Mellissa Carone, Giuliani's Ex-Sidekick, Disqualified From Macomb Ballot

Michigan House candidate Mellissa Carone, who got national notoriety, is disqualified from 2022 ballots in Macomb County ballot, The Detroit News reports.

Carone submitted a faulty affidavit attesting that she had no outstanding campaign finance issues. She has been crossed off Macomb County's online election list for the Aug. 2 primary and labeled as "disqualified." Macomb Clerk Anthony Forlini alerted Carone to the disqualification.

The political novice, now 35 and living in Grosse Pointe Woods, testified in 2020 with attorney Rudy Giuliani before a state House committee about bogus voter fraud claims.

Who do we like for MD Governor? Franchot was leading in the last democratic poll I saw. Feel like he's been there for too long. Someone like Wes Moore seems more appealing to me. If the Dems screw up then Laura Neuman will win. Which may or may not be a bad thing.
